“Bare Bones rooms with some renovations being done.”
Reviewed September 8, 2012

I have stayed here a few times just because of the proximity to the Globe Arena. This time I was less impressed than before. They still have a friendly front desk staff and a nice bar. They are still right next door to the mall and around the corner from the Globen Thai restaurant.
So this time I was less impressed with the bedding that was 2 twin beds pushed together with basic scratchy sheets. Cheapest toilet seat I have ever seen. But the kicker was that the blinds did not block out the sunlight. I slept on the side of the bed with my head right next to the window and when I slid the blinds closed they were at least 4" (10cm) of window still exposed.
The hotel is all function over form. An example if the ice machine is a tiny thing that just sits on the floor in an area that should have some vending machines.
This is a large hotel and I am sure it is hard to buy nice things for every room, but I think they need to step everything up one notch in the rooms.

This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel. The first time I had a beautiful room..... clean, I believe it was renovated. I have come back a year later and I had a horrible room. The ceiling lights did not work. The only lights in the room that worked was the bathroom and the lamp beside the bed. I called down to ask for someone to look at it but they couldn't come at night and I was out of the room all day for work and didn't want someone in the room when I wasn't there. The worst part of my room was my pillow. One of the pillows had a huge dark stain on it as if it was a blood stain. It was DISGUSTING!!! I had to call down and ask for them to bring me new pillows. You would think when the room and linens were changed, someone would have seen that horrible stain. And even the towels had dark stains on them. I did not feel comfy in this hotel at all and would never come back. I don't ask for much in a hotel.... I just want a clean hotel.

i think this hotel safe and secure, but its wrong. i told to myself. must be careful 1000 x here. we come and stay as a participant in short course, just stay 4 days. participant from tanzania lost the bag with passport and money and credit card in the restaurant this morning in quality hotel globen stockholm during breakfast. she put a bag next to her friends, but didn't say anything. take food and her handbag gone. the hotel staff didn't check people come to restaurant, i see the weakness of security system here in the hotel, and no surveillance camera in the resto.

I visited Stockholm a few years ago on vacation and had the chance to stay at this fine establishment. The staff was very accommodating and friendly, and the breakfast was third in line to the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had in my 7 years across Europe.

The room was very cozy and warm, very comfortable and somewhat chic. I particularly liked the bed and the bathroom. The curtains were very cool; Best of all all the television stations were in English! A nice change from most countries here in Europe where everything is synchronized.

It was right smack dab next to the Globe arena, the main purpose of our stay there to go to a show, and the surrounding area was very clean and inviting.

Stockholm itself remains one of my favorite cities in Europe, and I highly recommend the city and this hotel to anyone who is traveling there either on business or pleasure!

Ideal hotel for my purpose, room was spacious and comfortable.
The restaurant appeared to be still under construction, but very good meals were served in the bar, although the choice was limited.
Hotel is quite a distance from the centre of Stockholm, but is convenient for the Erickson Globe , the sports arenas and shopping centre.
The train station is handy for trips into the city, although it is quite a pleasant walk.
Breakfast is good.

Nothing wrong with this hotel for a city trip. It's location is a little from the centre of Stockholm, but the station is just a few minutes (five max.) walking distance. The trains are quick to learn and easy to navigate. It's ideal to get anywhere in the city.
Rooms are spacious enough when you are not planning spending all day at the hotel. Clean, which is most important. Breakfast is fine, nothing amazing, but good enough for every day breakfast.

This is a hard place to review. I loved the rooms and the hotel itself. The location is tricky. It was perfect for me as it was walking distance to my office but for site-seeing you need a car or learn the trains quickly. My problem was food. I am a vegetarian and there was no option at all for me except at breakfast, and even then it was limited. The hotel bar offered to make me a special meal of beans as that was all they had vegetarian. Hotel restaurant closed for a "special party" No restaurants within walking distance open at night except McDonalds.

Room Tip: My room overlooked the back entrance to the Stadium. Interesting, but loud after concerts!
