“Bad Timing”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2013

When we visited in February, 2013 the entire museum had one exhibit, the photos of David LaChapelle, which we did not care for, so were disappointed that there were no other artists represented. The site is nice, right along the water front where the cruise ships come in, with a nice bar/restaurant on the top floor which had live entertaiment. This was the best part of the visit, having coffee, listening to the band and taking in the view.

“Great Gallery”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2013

A wonderful space for photography lovers. Fotografiska doesn't have a permanent exhibition on view but you can check what is currently on on the website. Currently the entire space is showing work by David La Chappelle. It is a very comprehensive show and covers many aspects of his work including some behind the scenes films of the creation of some of the work.

Once you've had a browse it's definitely worth heading up to cafe on the third floor. Good food and great views. It's also open quite late some evenings.

“Contemporary and cool”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2013

Big scale of space is excellent for engaging with new exhibitions. Upstairs is a very nice cafe with great views across the water at twilight. Cool place, bit of a walk to reach from Gamla Stan but worth the stroll.

“Different from other Stockholm attractions”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 17, 2013

This is where the hip and trendy people of Stockholm head to for leisure. Or so it seemed when we went on a friday night. The exhibition we saw was David La Chapelle's.
We did feel a tad out of place as we aren't really photography or art enthusiasts but it was still very interesting and engaging. If you get bored with that sort of thing then this isn't for you...

“Dedicated Photography Gallery”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 17, 2013

We purchased the two day Stockholm card, and entrance to this attraction was included.
As two photographers, this was top on our list of places to see. It was a well set up gallery, but when we were there, the whole gallery was dedicated to the work of David LaChapelle (whose photography style is not for everyone). It is worth checking the website to know what you will be seeing before you go.
Be sure to save time for a coffee at their bistro. It is located on the top floor and offers beautiful views of Stockholm (and bottomless cups of coffee).
