This museum has a terrific view across the water in Stockholm, and the massive exhibit featuring artist David LaChapelle's photography was simply stunning. A nice cafe on the top floor offers wonderful views of the harbor and incoming ferries.

Nice overall experience. The museum is a little far from the other touristic areas but it is worth a visit, even for the view you can have on the city. We enjoyed the David LaChapelle exhibit but would have loved an area with some photos of Stockholm.

The museum is in a building on the shore of the channel (there is a dedicated stop of the public transportation ship) and it hosts theme exhibitions in a big building. Check for the exhibitions of the period to make your visit profitable.

Enjoyed this lovely facility on the waterfront overlooking Gamla Stan. It was welcoming and contained two interesting exhibitions (which change regularly), a great cafe with picture window views and a terrific bookshop. Could spend hours there just hanging out!

The period we went to was a little special as it was the first and only time Fotografiska dedicated the entire musuem to a single artist, David Lachapelle.

Beautiful, provocative and interesting photography. Probably the cliche, a thousand words is required to describe a picture applies here and since there are so many of them, its impossible to describe it all but definitely worth a vist.

Getting to the place was a little difficult too, we took bus 43 and we ended up walking along the shoreline. Probably a nice walk during other seasons, but definitely not when it was snowing so hard on Christmas day.

Wonderful bistro on the 2nd floor too; grab a bite and see Stockholm through the windows (:
