Gilda’s is a nice place to go for coffee and cake. When I got there it was very busy and there wasn’t much place to sit. The cake was very good and there’s a large collection of different cakes to choose from. Most of all I have to praise the staff. When I paid there was a mistake. This as much my fault as the girl behind the bar. We both didn’t notice the mistake and it was only 10 minutes later when I realized something was wrong. There was absolutely no way I could prove that I didn’t receive enough money back. The two girls behind the bar however made no problem of it and started counting the money in the cash register. This was while they were very busy with a lot of people wanting to order at the same time. The discover a mistake was made, gave the money back and apologized.
Even the best and most exclusive restaurant makes mistakes but this willingness to help the customers even when they had their hands full with work makes these employees worth gold. This is customer service as it should be and that alone should be a reason to visit Gilda’s Rum.
