Description: Djuret is Leijontornets bistro. At Djuret we serve one animal at the time. We concider this to be the most sustainable way to work with the slaughtered animal both from an organic perspective but also out of respect to the animal in question. The whole menu consists of different meat paragraphs from the same animal. These are prepared with a lot of love on the grill, halster or in a pot and then served in a rustik way.

We were going to go to Operakallen and asked a woman if we were in the right place. She was serving at the Backfickan and encouraged us to eat there - not as fancy or as expensive. We did and we loved it. Again we sat at the counter!

On our first night in Stockholm, we wandered Gamla Stan looking for a place for dinner. We knew of Djuret and that we should have had a reservation but stopped in on the off-chance we could be seated. They were so accomodating! We tend toward vegetarian food in the states so this was a real treat. The pork rinds are amazing! The meat was veal on our visit and we got the hot pot for 2 which was delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly. We would definitely return!

The restaurant is very popular, so do book a table if you plan to go here.
They change menu each month, and each month one animal is the main ingredient.
The restaurant has a large wine cellar with 1300 different wines.
The staff is very friendly and the service is excellent.
This is a place you can bring your sweetheart or your colleagues.
It is not cheap, but it is worth the price.

Had at great time, food was really good. I went here with my colleagues, although i think it's better to go here with a close friend or for a romantic evening. Really liked the place. The waiter was new and really confused, but still friendly (probably his first day, i hope).

Me and my partner decided to visit Djuret for dinner.
We had a really good time and the food was absolutely delicious. The cockrel pate was divine and the pork crackling crisps with chili mayo..... I still dream about them, The marrow toast...... need I say more, extremely tasty.
Next time we are in Stockholm we will go back and enjoy ourselfs again!!
