“A) Not worth the money B) Staff didn't listen to us and took the p***”
Reviewed February 18, 2012

Last night in Stockholm with friends, it appeared lovely and they smiled when we said we were from London. Probably in hindsight they thought we had lots of money. My friend and I clearly said we wanted to SHARE a starter, as they weren't cheap and our other friend asked for asparagus soup and if not, nothing. Offering us garlic bread, we said one portion to share. The waiter brought 2 starters, which were so small we assumed they had put them on 2 plates to make it easier, my other friend was served tomato and prawn soup, which the waiter tried to encourage her to have anyway, though she clearly didn't want to and was made to feel very uncomfortable. The garlic bread came in a little basket. After our mains we knew the meal would be expensive but we felt angry when we realised our starters were 2 orders, and they had given us 3 portions of garlic bread. We challenged the bill saying they had not been clear and they basically said tough. That kind of service would never have happened in London. The food is not worth the money, AT ALL, though the atmosphere is nice. It looks good, so draws in a crowd but NOT WORTH IT!
We really felt they just tried to get as much out of us as possible, especially, when complaining, that they didn't show any customer services by even taking the garlic bread off the bill. Oh, and I had 1 glass of rum and coke....£11.50.

“Mmmm ...”
Reviewed February 15, 2012

Valentine's day so may have caught this place on an off night. But not a bad meal. Traditional Italian in the Old Town, very busy, welcoming with superb service. Starters (big salads) were very good thinking about it, my steak was fine my wife's pasta less so. desert was OK. Think the prices were just too high even for this night and this part of town. Roughly £150 and we only had a couple of small glasses of sparkling wine (£26), a small beer and a glass of red (decent stuff). We enjoyed it and I certainly wouldn't say avoid this place, I'd go again in fact but the weakest of our meals out.

Very tasty meal, but sadly not enough duchesse potatoes to go with the fillet steak. Ask for extra.

“Friendly service, good food, but very expensive...”
Reviewed January 14, 2012

We decided to stop in here for lunch to get out of the cold. It is located on one of the main tourist streets in Gamla Stan. The host was very friendly and recommended some drinks. We tried the Stockholm special (?) which was like a mojito and very overpriced. For appetizers, the bruschetta with parma ham is very good. The carpaccio was not good and the meat didn't taste fresh. For entrees...The arctic char with seafood risotto was very good. The fish and seafood casserole was not good and had too much tomato paste. They ended up charging us about $8 for each bottle of tap water we drank. The entire lunch cost about $150.

“Tourist rip-off joint”
Reviewed January 8, 2012

Had lunch with wife and 2 kids at this place. Absolutely shameless people. Ordered still mineral water - they brought tap water instead and charged for it (which we found out later) $11. A few pieces of bread - same price. 50 ml unit of mulled wine - $17.
And never try their "delicatessen" plate from the menu - the qualities of it are somewhat doubtful and the size of a portion won't feed a mouse. (At a mere $25)
Would stay well clear of it on my next visit.
