Very peaceful hotel situated in Skeppsholmen, right off the fairy on the water. For context, Stockholm is NOT CHEAP! This hotel cost a lot of money for a little, teeny-tiny room. But the room was comfortable and clean. We had to request an extra blanket for the tiny bed (twin comforter on a queen bed?!), but the hotel was accommodating.

Hotel has a lot of history and used to house Swedish naval soldiers and later was a dorm for people suffering from the plague. Don't worry - it's completely renovated and a shining illustration of Swedish design!!!

Was a bit of a hike from the main attractions, but accessible by fairy before 8:00 p.m. Would stay again if I were trying to get away, but for site seeing and exploring, would stay closer to either old town or museum district.

Room Tip: WiFi access in our room was non-existent, due to heavy, old metal doors. Also, our room was on the f...

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to write this review and glad to read you enjoyed your stay.

Our rates are during high season on the higher scale but please remember that in our room rates: VAT, service charges, wireless Internet and breakfast are inclusive.

I assume that you stayed in our standard room, I hope we will have the pleasure to welcome you back and then I recommend a Superior XL or a Deluxe Sea and Garden room who are spacious and have a king/twin bed.

I am sorry that you felt being away from museum and Old Town, our closest neighbours are the Modern Museum and the Architect Museum and to the amazing Vasa or the new fun Abba museum it's just 2 minutes ride with the charming ferry and the same ferry takes you to the Old Town in 5 minutes.

Best from a sunny Stockholm,

We spent 2 nights in this hotel in late August on a family vacation. It was a great experience. The island setting was serene yet close to the center of Stockholm. The service was friendly but professional. The rooms were well planned and although compact had everything you needed. The breakfast was very good with a large selection and of excellent quality. We enjoyed sitting outside each morning for breakfast. I had lunch there also one day and the meatballs were tasty.
And I loved the stone sink in the bathroom --it did not splash all over as some others have said.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It is expensive but most places in Stockholm are!

We had a Nice long weekend in Stockholm, with our stay at this hotel. They have a Nice breakfast with all you wish for. Its on a smal Island connected by a bridge to the main city center. We rented bicycles for three days which was a good way to explore the beautiful city of Stockholm. There is also a smal ferry just outside the hotel which brings you to djurgården where the Abba en vasa museums are, and a lot more ;-)
Now about the hotel, Nice quiet and laidback atmosfere. Very Nice people working there.
The rooms are what they call designer. For me that was the only minus here, They should have had the bed a little bigger, and the shower needs a shower curtain. Every time you take a shower the whole bathroomfloor gets wet.
I Would easily stay again if in Stockholm in the future.

Unobtrusive yet stylish. Relaxed and friendly. Quiet and just off the beaten track but in the heart of Stockholm. The service is excellent. The food is lovely. Breakfast should be savoured. The rooms are well designed, compact but very nice. Would definitely stay here again.

We just returned home after spending several days at this hotel. We just loved the place. It is located on a beautiful island very close walking sistance to other sites in Stockholm.
The food was especially good, from the large delicious breakfast to the lunch and dinner selections. It was so nice to just walk 50yards to the harbor or just relax at the end of the day with a drink at one of the many outdoor tables. Rooms were great and the sink in the bathroom just needs to be used with a little lower pressure and it's fine Beds were very comfortable.
We will definately stay here again on our next trip to our favorite city.

Room Tip: we had 222 as an upgrade and it was very nice.

This boutique hotel is away from the city center and is unique in a big city. The former naval military barracks offer an outdoor setting on Skeppsholmen close to the city but with outdoor gardens, beverages and dining. The room is fairly stark yet comfortable and relaxing. Ask for a room on the second floor, away from the quiet street which passes on one side.
The dining room and outside bar are both good - the food was above average for dinner and the extensive continental breakfast was one of the best I have experienced in this type of setting. The ferries are 3 minutes away and offer flexibility and another way of travel. Taxis are available through the front desk but you really can walk most places in city center.

Room Tip: Second floor away from street facing water...

My husband and I enjoyed a weekend staying here after a week's sailing so the contrast was very great. Lovely, clean well-designed bathroom and bedroom looking out onto a pleasant garden. The food was excellent and the breakfast amazing. They were very busy but looked after us all very well. You can eat in the garden and it is all the more remarkable as it is in the centre of town but with views out over the water. It really stands out as different from the run of the mill city centre hotel. They were quite happy to look after our luggage once we had checked out.
