Description: The Dubliner is Stockholm's longest established Irish pub and restaurant. We provide full restaurant and bar menus. Live music on Thursday-Saturday and we show most major sporting events with the emphasis on GAA, English Premier League and Rugby. You can book a table or drop in. Reservations are recommended though. We have been told by our customers that we serve the best Guinness in town, so who are we to argue! We have a large outdoor seating area between April and September and there's also free WiFi. We can also cater for private functions. Why not come on down! Slàinte!!!

“Live music!”

Typical irish pub, with great live music to dance to. Be aware that later at night there will be some people that are drunk and may become annoying.

“Decent enough bar until....”
Reviewed February 7, 2014 via mobile

Went there with a friend to watch the six nations, decent bar, lots of big screens, food ok, drinks standard price for Stockholm, live band after the games, however the security there is confusing, sat at the bar talking when security says my friend has to leave for being drunk (she wasn't) they then stood over us till we left, and wouldn't explain what happened, bizarre end to a good night

Thank you very much for reviewing our establishment. I am very sorry you had the experience you describe. In Sweden the law comes down very hard on us if we are seen to be serving people who have had too much to drink. This law can seem a bit odd to people coming from abroad - as after all, it is a pub! But the police and licensing authorities regularly send around plain clothed people to check that no one who is adversely affected by alcohol is getting served. And indeed, what defines when someone has had too much to drink?

This of course leads to misunderstandings when over-zealous door staff ask people to leave who have not had too much to drink. I have even been asked to leave a pub in Stockholm myself without having had a drink at all!

I can only apologise for your experience. Also, the doorman should have given you an explanation and we will be speaking to them about that. I do hope you visit us again to give us a chance to prove that this was a one-off mistake.

“Excellent food in warm and friendly pub”
Reviewed February 5, 2014

Drinks are competitively priced in this expensive city for alcohol, but £8 a pint is going to keep you sober in the main.
However, the food is quite simple and tasty and worth the trouble to share a meal with with friends. The salmon was divine and others enjoyed steak & ale pie, bangers and mash and fish & chips. Service is good - always seems busy so you might try to book. Live music appears also a popular addition to this city centre venue which makes for a great night out
