Went to Enskede Krog for the first time - wife, mother and 20 month son - and had quite high expectations after reading some local reviews. If you don't mind travelling outside the inner city borders this place in the "outer" city is a good choice.
Personally I quite liked this old style restaurant, however my mother thought it was too darkly lit.
I opted for slow cooked venison with chantarelles and salt baked baby carrots which were really rich with gamey flavours combined with the seasonal autumn flavours of mushrooms.
My wife had the special of the day (plaice with a side of prawn mixture and butter tossed fresh potatoes) and my mother a gamey twist on the classic Swedish Wallenbergare made with veal and venison, cream sauce and lingonberry.
The wine I wanted was out but the waitress (after consulting the kitchen) came up with a good, light red that would suit everyone.
The only let down was probably that the restaurant was short staffed - most probably beacause of it being Sunday - and slight problems handling all the walk-in's.
