I thought this was the best place to visit in Vaxjo. There were a lot of interesting pieces of glass work here. And it is combines with the Emigrant House and Smaland Museum. One ticket for all three places! 70 Kroners.

If one is about to explore the "Kingdom of Crystal" or Glasricket region of southern Sweden, then you are likely to find the Swedish Glass Museum a very helpful orientation to the history and range of marvelous Swedish glass-making. We especially enjoyed the stunning art glass on the second floor of the museum.

I have been a fairly decent traveler and I have come across a Glass Museum (not a factory or salesy museum) for the first time.
It has some really beautiful artefacts and some other history related sections that I found interesting.

I was disappointed that most sections had description in Svenska only and no English. No tour guides or audio guides available.

History of why Småland is the glass center of sweden and a lot of different glass to watch.Sculptures I never even thought about in this museum.Beautiful, colorful and incredible glass is in this museum. One part is a museum of Swedish coins and bills, walk on money:) Best:glass with yellow in it that makes it look like gold, impressive. Worst: missing a simple explanation how and of what glass is made of and where the ingredients come from.Visiting time about 1-2 hour

Highly interesting small museum about all king of items made from glass. Kitchenware, pharmaceutical glass, art & design, optics and many other things. Take 2-3 hours of time to enjoy this exposition. You will find various interesting gems in different shapes and colors. It`s a little pricey but well worth it. There`s a nice coffee shop in the same building...
