“Place must see”

It is a relatively new museum with a lot of marine exhibits. I would appreciate more descriptions in English.
There are few things which kids (but also adults) enjoy including very realistic coastguard boat simulation - really great thing.
They serve very good buffet lunches there.

“Worth a visit to KK in itself”
Reviewed February 17, 2012

A good place to spend a winter afternoon. Apart from the nautical theme, you will find lots of Swedish history, modern included (although that part of the exhibition was only in Sedish, and by the time we had gooten there, our free audio guide had run out of juice). Spooky underwater tunnel with view of the water - looking at the frozen surface from below. Bonus: after learning how to use a Jacob's staff for navigation, you can virtually shoot a cannon at a Danish man-o-war, with sound effects ...

“Great collection, very good audio guide”
Reviewed November 21, 2011

This museum, is worth a visit while in the area. The museum is located in a town home to Sweden's main Naval base. On display they have Sweden's first Submarine, the mix of different types of displays is well done, there is alot of the information in English, so its fine for a non Swedish speaking person like myself, although you do miss out on a few extra facts here and there. The staff were polite and the whole museum clean. The digital audio guides are the point and click type, available in Swedish, English and i believe German? and were free to use, a nice touch, Depending on how much you want to read, or watch you could spend between 1-3 hours. Well worth the visit, it is also free entry in Winter :-)

“A very good museum”
Reviewed October 15, 2009

This museum tells two stories, the one of the UNESCO world hertitage city of Karlskrona as well as the history of the Swedish navy. The museum contains a museum shop and two levels of displays, some interactive where you can get hands on experiences. Outside the museum some Navy ships are on display. You can enter and explore the ships which is fun for both adults and kids. Around the museum there's some other season related displays as well, mainly open in the summer. So if you're interested in navy issues, the history of Karlskrona or just want to have an interesting and educational time, you shouldn't miss this museum. Check their homepage for special displays/arrangements. The museum also has an cafe/restaurant.
