I had the pleasure the other day to be in the St Petrie church in Malmö and enjoy a concert performed by the Orchestra of the Justus Liebig University Giessen Germany and the repertoire included Grieg Brahms and Schumann
An outstanding performance
The church itself is a Basilica and has been on site since the 13th century however underwent substantial upgrading and repairs over the centuries
It has an impressivd wooden altar and many other works of art ...some of the early wall paintings have been partially restored and are impressive
The church serves its local constituents on a regular basis as well.
Worth a visit when you are in Malmö wandering the old city..close to the Train station and main square Stortorget
