St. Petri (St. Peter's Church)

Located in the heart of the city, St Peter's Church is one of the largest churches in Sweden. It is also the oldest church in the city of Malmo (construction began in 1319). The Gothic style is able to "wow" anyone and the inside is just simply marvellous. Moreover, the 105m tower is a special treat.

There are many concerts going on in the church so please do go along to one!

This church was very pretty inside and out. We also showed up at the perfect time because there was a group of musicians inside performing. The music was the kind of soothing sounds you could sit there all day and listen to. It is probably the best site in Malmo.

Stunning church both inside and out, drapped in history. Free entry and a must to go visit and wander around. Situated close to lilla torg and a more authentic experience. Check it out for sure.

A beautiful 700 year old church. Free admission and generous open hours (10 am-? daily, I was there in the morning) The inside was pretty but fairly typical-- other than one chapel that still had old painting on the the ceiling which was really nice. My favorite part was all the buttresses on the exterior .

This extremely old church is filled with history that anybody can appreciate. Although most of the church was whitewashed, there is still a room with original frescoes. These are gorgeous. The pipe organ and pulpit are fantastic works of art as well. Admission is free, which is how a church should be. I will always donate money to a sight that does not charge admission, merely out of principle.
