“Great alternative to a hotel”
Reviewed July 4, 2012

This apartment hotel is a great alternative to a hotel. The apartments are very nice and cozy and the service is impeccable. There is a small common room with toys and DVDs for kids, which is a nice addition. The location is excellent, just a 10-minute walk from Central Malmö close to cafés, restaurants and supermarkets. A very good choice for families.

This hotel was definitely more than I was expecting; it was very spacious and clean with its own kitchen including a range, refrigerator, dishwasher, and sink, a dining area with a table and four chairs, a living area with a couch and tv on a rotating stand (a bit older than the norm). The free wi-fi was a nice perk, as was the free access to the laundry room and the sauna and gym (which consists of 1 treadmill, 1 stationary bike, and freeweights). Breakfast was included in our package and it was more than enough food with plenty of bread, cereal, cheeses, and deli meats. They also let me store my bags after checkout free of charge which was very generous of them.

The hotel was only a 5-7 minute walk from the main shopping areas and about at 10 minutes walk from the old town. There is a beautiful, modern library about a 10 minute walk from the hotel as well, with floor to ceiling windows and plenty of comfortable seating.

Around the corner are some good restaurants so you won't have to walk very far to and from dinner. I highly recommend this hotel!

I have stayed at most of the hotels in Malmö, but never quite found a favorite. Until now. The rooms at The More Hotel are huge (including a complete kitchen with a dishwasher!) and modern. Good bed and spacious bathroom. The location is perfect, close to Triangeln and Möllevången and from the new train station at Triangeln it is only a short walk, who wants to stay close to the central station anyway? Lots of good restaurants nearby and really close to Folkets Park, which I really recommend if you have kids with you. There is a nice sauna which you can book for free and a playroom for kids. The staff is excellent and friendly and the breakfast is not like at the Hilton, but still good. There is cleaning only once a week and the reception is not manned at night, but the price for a room easily compensates that. I will definitely stay here when in Malmö next time.

Very spacious, bright studio with a variety of facilities (internet access (not wireless), television, iron and ironing board, refrigerator and cooking facilities). Very friendly staff. Situated on the edge of downtown Malmö: approximately 20 minutes walk to the Lilla Torg. In the vicinity there are many restaurants and shops.
The breakfast was fine but not luxurious. Please note that the studio is cleaned only once every five days (this includes change of towels and toilet paper). The hotel rents out bicycles, but these are not always available.

We had just flown into Copehagen and our luggage showed up a day late. That said, the staff at The More Hotel were very accommodating and helped with calling the airport to get updates. All the staff really seemed to like their jobs and some really went out of their way to help us out. Our room, I think it was room 9, was huge, had light blocking blinds, and had a kitchenette. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The location was alright and managable by taking the #100 bus from the central train station (buy a day pass at the transit office in the station). The only thing that I didn't just "love" about the place was that there is no central air, which really isn't a big deal...but the room faces an alley and is just above street level, so we were woken up a few times at night by revellers singing (drunkenly?) down the alley. One last thing. They have wired internet, but I was never able to connect. I am from the U.S. and they said that the people who have had difficulties in the past were foreigners. There is a computer available in the lobby for e-mails etc.

I stayed in The More hotel for a month. Since i had to search a house in Malmo before i could move out. The stay was very comfortable since it was a service hotel. There was kitchen space so my wife had no problems cooking. The hotel authorities also gave my son toys so that he could be kept occupied. The hotel is in a good location. Very close to the Triangeln mall and to Sodervan (which is a major bus terminal). My stay was great here.
