“Best in the south of Sweden”

Great food, excellent wine and the staff treated our 8-month-old daughter like a princess :) This place is a must if you´re in Southern Sweden and looking for a great restaurant.

“Fantastic full dinner experiance”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 8, 2013

I saw a review in a local newspaper where Bloom got rated excellent and I decided to make a late reservation for me and my wife for our anniversery. I'm really happy that I did! We had a fantastic evening at the Bloom with a carefully thought through environment/atmosphere in every detail.

The food was fantastic and the creatativity in different courses was in a perfect balance with both taste and visual appearance. A special touch to the experiance was that the menue was provided only afterwards so you had to utilise all your senses fully to work out what was served. Only after you have tasted the course (and even the wine) the waiters told what you had in front of you.

We both enjoyed the evening at the Bloom to the full extent and are still (after more than a week) talking about it. It was rather expensive but no doubt worth the money! The staff was really available for you and eager to listen to what we thought about how the food and wine was.

A few words on the way for future guests: this is not a traditional restaurant. Just let go of the fact that you can't choose from a menue or knowing what you taste and enjoy!

“A fantastic experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 7, 2013

We walked right past the restaurant, as we were expecting something a little grander. However, once we worked out how to get in, we knew we were in for a special evening. Well received, we were taken to our table and, after a few formalities (any allergies, specific dislikes), we were presented with several courses each accompanied by a well-matched wine.

A fantastic experience with great food and top service, although we can't remember much of the detail. The waiting staff kept us in the dark about what we were eating in each course, but were happy to help us guess where it wasn’t clear.

Also great to have a good chat during and after our meal with the owner, Ignacio Vidal, and hear about his life as a restaurateur.

“Expensive Lunch, But Good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 1, 2013

Popped into the restaurant for lunch and the owner took care of us. The view was breathtaking, however it was a little much on price for lunch. Might go back for dinner next time I'm in town.

“Unforgettable”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 25, 2013

We celebrated our wedding anniversary with dinner at Bloom in the Park in Malmö. This was by far the best restaurant we have been to in Sweden. It was comparable to our lunch at Noma in Copenhagen. There is no menu, and the staff is secretive about what they are serving you. They want you to discover and use your taste buds. The owner, Ignacio Vidal, who talks perfect English, Spanish and French, spends time at each table, discussing the wines, the food, the place. By the way, the place was as fantastic as the food. The restaurant is located by a small lake inside a beautiful park in central Malmö, easily reachable by metro. At your arrival you are welcomed to the veranda with a glass of champagne. Afterwards you are taken to your table, with the most comfortable seats I have found in any restaurant. The wooden tables, with no linen, do not compete for attention with the amazingly original presentation of the food. There are many and many different flavors, textures, and aromas, a few of them spectacularly brought to the table with a show of bubbling liquids or flowing fumes. It was all done with humor and enjoyment, and we loved how the waiters and owner had as much fun as we did. It is expensive, but the "3 course meal" turned out to have more than a dozen different dishes and 6 wines. Not a dinner, more of a magical lifetime experience.
