Fridas (previously named Idas and Midi) is situated in the centre of Helsingborg, in the pedestrian shopping street Kullagatan. It is run by two females, both with experience from Gastro, Helsingborg's famous flagship restaurant. Isabell Seger is in the kitchen, and apart from experience from Gastro, she has also spent some time at Noma in Copenhagen and at Per Se in New York. This means you can expect top food!! The dining room is professionally handled by Katrin Andersson Ljung, who spent years at Gastro. A small bar awaits inside the doors and then a small restaurant opens up. The menu is not long, but consists of well chosen dishes with good variety, based on local ingredients and Nordic contemporary fine dining cuisine (much like another of our favourites, Château Forêt). Cooking and service are of course top notch, this is a strong four mind you, like that for Ch Forêt! Lunch is served every day except Monday, special menu Sunday with mega hamburgers as one choise. Wine list consists of one half, which is natural wines, and then "ordinary" wines as well. We've had some small dishes, as well as osso bucco (always on the lunch menu), and a delicious dessert and we will come back for more :-).
