I love the lunch at Ch. Foret and as a cafe is is brilliant. I didn't know that this place had dinner service. We had their tasting menu which was a selection of their ordinary dishes but at a better price than if purchased individually. They did not have a paired wine menu. At first I found this disappointing, but the waiter (owner?) was so knowledgeable and enthusiastically suggested great wine and micro-brewery beers with our dishes. Lovely atmosphere, fantastic food, and above all phenomenal service. This place is full at lunch time and in the afternoons, but I don't think people know that they are now open for dinner. If I must find fault with something then it would be that our table was too close to the wall, next time I would take a table away from the wall. It felt so unnecessary to be cramped against the wall in the otherwise spacious restaurant.
