When recently visiting friends in Bad Bergzabern (beautiful little town) we spent a birthday celebratory dinner at the Reuters Holzappel. Aside from a really friendly and homely atmosphere, the food was one of the best we tasted in Germany. Very imaginative dishes, tasty and well seasoned with reasonable prices, the varied menu surprised us. The duck was to die for and so were the sweets. They even gave me some duck rillettes to take on to our journey to our French Holiday House. The White Burgunder Wein (Pinto Blanc) was the perfect accompaniment with a crisp and fragrant bouquet.
