From the moment the door was opened till the second we drove away we were made to feel more than welcome. The suite was fantastic, the children's room was decorated with amazing murials. The beds were lovely and comfy and the rooms gave an impression of an exotice place. In the kitchen was enough breakfast food to feed the family for at least 3 meals and stocks were refreshed daily. The B & B is about 10 minutes from Alton Towers and we would recommend the Hot tub after a day of walking. This is perfect for a young family or couples, there was nothing we could fault. Will be returning there next time we are in the area.

We stayed at Heywood Hall for the Black Eyed Peas concert at Alton Towers and we had a fab time all round! The hotel was excellent and extremely accommodating and the bed was so comfy I could have stayed in it all day!! John and Louise are super and it felt like home from home and we would love to take the girls back there one day to stay in one of the family themed rooms. By far the best UK hotel we've ever stayed in.

What a welcome and what service. I can honestly say this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. We arrived quite late due to bad traffic but this wasnt a problem. I had mentioned it was my daughtersbirthday and there were banners and balloons and a gift on her bed. The suites are characterized and stunning. My children put themselves straight to bed so they could soak it up. Nothing was too much trouble and the smile was never off Louise' face. The only bad thing I can say is that I found this hotel after I had booked another hotel and they were full for the Friday night. We will definitely find excuses to visit Staffordshire just to stay here again.

My partner and I stayed at the B & B, on Thursday. We arrive 2 hours before check in, with the intention of parking the car, and then visiting the pub, but Louise and John were more than welcoming, and showed us to our room. Louise had even gone to the trouble to decorate our door with banners and balloons, as it was my birthday. She even took the time to write a card. The rooms were spotless, and extremely beautiful. The food for breakfast was stocked up the following morning, despite there being enough left over from the day before. I can not speak highly enough of this gem of a B & B. As many have said, little touches such as restaurant menu's. take away menu's etc in the room. The only thing that Heywood Hall is missing is a WiFi connection, but then again, maybe its good to get away from Facebook and the like! A beautiful location, and we are definately going back before they shut for winter. Thanks again Louise and John, we had an awesome time.

We stayed in the Alex Double Room at Heywood Hall and had a fantastic experience from start to finish! We were welcomed with open arms by the lovely Louise who made us feel so welcome, she really is the perfect hostess! Our room was superb (The Alex room is a double bedroom and not a suite like the other rooms), however I would definitely stay in the Alex Room again and would recommend it as it was beautifully decorated, had a fully stocked fridge with continental breakfast items (plus so much more...) and a large bathroom. The room also had a little book of useful info with menu's from nearby restaurants and takeaways (nice touch) plus a map of Denstone to show you exactly where the nearest pub/supermarket/petrol station etc were situated. We ate at the Tavern Pub on the Saturday night and the food was excellent! We didn't book but they managed to squeeze us in and we were very impressed with the quality of the food and the service we received! Unfortunately we didn't get time to use the hot tub at Heywood, although we will definitely make time to use it next time!
I honestly can't praise Louise and John enough, Heywood really is a hidden gem and we will definitely be returning!

The Welcome you receive from Louise and John is first class and the rooms are themed and clean tidy and very comfortable to stay in.
What i like is the Breakfast, you have everything you can imagine for Breakfast from cooked etc but you cook it when you want to and there is no set times to eat which i like.
the Hot Tub and sauna is a must and great after a long day out to Alton Towers or where ever you go.

Room Tip: book early it does not matter what room.
