We and our family visited the pub tonight as a pre-birthday celebration with sons and fiancee.
I chose the Haddock and chips - and what a fantastic presentation. The chips and fish were delivered in a "deep frier" basket with a "newspaper lining" (think 1950s chippies) and delicious battered haddock on a bed of chips, and with a mini-tub of mushy peas. 10/10 for presentation and 10/10 for the food.
Before that I'd chosen olives and bread dip - and really enjoyed the cute little "loaf tin" breads.
All in all a really nice meal in comfortable surroundings.
