This is my 4th Visit to Kaya Kwanga....This time round I took a crew to assit with the preping and photograph recipes for my new book....Great work enviroment with all the conditions one needs from kitchen to rooms to pool....peaceful with no distractions...Great place for family and social gatherings....
I spent 11 nights in this villa, together with my family and some friends. Enough place for 9 persons, with large spaces in kitchen(very well equipped and new furnished) , on terraces, around the pool. The last one was one of the attraction point, our children asking us everyday to let them more and more to play there.
The villa is very well situated in a quite area, having an easy access to restaurants or supermarkets. Very close, in Paderne we found out very good restaurants with Portuguese food at a very good price, very well classified by consumers.
Thank you Stephanie, Amanda, for this vacation. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends, it is a wonderful place to stay.
We loved our stay here - the villa is huge, everything works and it has a comfortable homely feel. The garden is really beautiful and the pool is a good size, too. There has recently been a new kitchen installed, which is very nice and extremely well equipped, even down to...wait for it ... sharp knives!!
It's very peaceful and the views are lovely. I would advise you to get your shopping before arriving at the villa, as you'll find it hard to leave once you're there!
I would say that having a car is a definite advantage when staying here; it would be a shame not to get out to see some other the other nice towns such as Silves and Alte. We also had a good day out at Aqualand - it's not just for kids!
Thanks for a lovely stay and for being so flexible with check-out.
We have visited this villa several times and always loved it. latest visit was in June 2018 and we were delighted to see that it is seven better than ever, A new modern kitchen has just been installed and while he old one was quite adequate the renovation is first class and the villa is now state of the art in this respect. The whole place still retains its charm of being a beautiful quiet and restful place in a rural setting with a lovely secluded private swimming pool. The local friendly shops can provide most of what you need. But it is still within easy striking distance of the Algarve's many attractions - beaches, golf ,eating places etc. Absoluitely ideal for a very relaxing family holiday
Great spacious villa set in beautiful grounds. My wife and I had a brilliant stay.
We loved the location, peaceful and tranquil with nice views over the hills. 25 minutes drive or so and you were on the coast. We tried out Praia da Marinha which was gorgeous, probably about 35 minutes away. Go there in early morning as it can get a bit busy later on.
Restaurants were just about walkable as well, which was something we were looking for. O Alagar/Cafe Nicola was about 20 minutes walk away, maybe a bit longer if taking it slow, and was quite tasty. Paderne villages was another 15 mins further on with a few restaurants to try. We went to Os Arcos had a delicious Cataplana. Great value as well.
It was so peaceful in the villa, with lots of space and a lovely pool. It was kind of difficult to motivate yourself to go out to many places as it was so relaxing there. Highly recommended.
Stephanie was excellent in communications beforehand, and very helpful with suggestions for restaurants and a taxi number if needed. I nearly gave this a 5, but there were a few minor issues which lost it a point. For example, the cleaners were there for a good couple of hours after we first arrived, even though no one had been staying there for many days and we arrived at our estimated time. The fault was with the company helping to run the villa rather than the owner though.
Overall a great end to our anniversary trip to Portugal and would happily stay there again. In fact looking at the rain outside, I kind of want to go there now...
We have just returned from a brilliant 2 week stay at Kaya Kwanga. If you are after peace and quiet in an area of the Algarve that feels less touristic, but yet within 30 minutes drive of most places then this villa is ideal. Stephanie has provided plenty of information about the area and recommended places to eat and visit. A car is essential for getting around, however the village of Paderne is about a 15 minute walk, where there are a few nice local and very cheap restaurants, a couple of small shops which stock most items and a chemist. Albufeira is about 20 minutes from the villa, if you must visit there! Villamoura also about 20 minutes drive. The lovely old city of Silves is within a 30 minute drive, it's very picturesque.
There were 7 of us in our party, myself and husband, our 4 children (17,9,7,4) and my mother. The villa was extremely comfortable and had more than enough space for us all. The pool area is lovely, plenty of sun loungers, parasols and inflatables for the kids. There is a lovely deck area which is shaded from about lunch time onwards and was lovely to sit at and have a late lunch or a BBQ, which we did many times. The kitchen is very well equipped with cutlery, crockery, pots, dishes etc, and an ample supply of wine glasses The bedrooms are very comfortable and all with air conditioning, essential for the hot temperatures we had during our stay.
We would not hesitate to return to Kaya Kwanga and hope to in the near future.
We stayed in villa kaya kwanga at the end of July for 9 nights. Myself ,my wife ,my daughter ,her partner and their 5 kids ranging from 2 to 14 all had a great holiday.
The area was lovely and peaceful (until we arrived :-) )
The villa was huge and very comfortable. Beds were comfy and air con and fans kept us nice and cool during the heatwave that we experienced. Temps in the mid forties.
The beautiful pool was the favorite meeting place and the kids spent many happy hours there. My other two daughters followed us out and there was an 18 hour cross over period where their accommodation was not ready so at one stage there was 15 of us for one night and we all managed to get a good nights sleep in a bed. The beds had mosquito nets and not one ofus got a bite.
We had some lovely reasonably priced meals in and around Paderne , much nicer food and far better value than in Albufeira.
We visited zoo marine and Algarve shoppng mall and they were both very convenient to get to from the villa.
This was a beautiful villa and a great memorable holiday and we all hope to return to villa kaya kwanga in the not too distant future. Don't hesitate to book it. you will not be disapointed.
A big thank you to Stephanie, Rob and Amanda and we hope to see you all again soon.
