Stayed at the Old Riverview Guesthouse for 2 nights with my wife visiting family between Christmas and New Year.
There is plenty of off-road parking opposite the guesthouse and we were met and checked in by the friendly proprierter. The dining rooms downstairs are very pleasant and obviously newly renovated as is the whole of the property.
We stayed in the four poster room and it was excellent. We found smart decor and furnishings all in first class condition and a large, new en suite shower/bathroom (be aware that there are three steps down to the en suite). The room was cosy (it was quite cold outside) and the bed was very comfortable and despite some initial concern about the room facing the road the level of traffic noise was low and did not disturb us. We were served an excellent freshly prepared english breakfast made from local produce and there were all the accompanying choices of cereal, fruit etc.You can come and go as you please with secure key code access to the upstairs rooms. So overall a very relaxing and comfortable stay which represented good value and we will be returning.

Room Tip: The four poster room is large and comfy with a large en-suite, check it out.

Visited with the grandchildren for lunch on Christmas Eve. Lovely friendly atmosphere and good home cooked food - look out for the cakes. Such an improvement on the old pub, the new owners are obviously trying hard and are so far succeeding.

First visit today with a friend for lunch. Was not disappointed _ owner showed us round the bedrooms _ comfortable and so clean and lots of little extras. Had broccoli and Stilton soup with cheese scone for lunch, followed by homemade strawberry ice cream __ yummy. Would highly recommend this venue. The owners have done a superb job making this establishment a little gem in the Fens.

Room Tip: All the rooms we viewed were great.

I have been to this tea room many times since it opened and have had everything from full english to afternoon tea with Pimms. The service is always very friendly, the refurbishment is amazing and most of all the food is not to be missed.

It can be very busy at weekends so probably worth booking if there is a large party.
