“Good value for money”
Reviewed August 11, 2013

I've tried Wagamama in Amsterdam and Dublin, and Copenhagen twice. The experience has been quite similar and positive.

Wagamama serves delicious modern Japanese food in good portions and - especially for Copenhagen measures - to reasonable prices. You're benched on cafeteria-style benches and tables (so you could actually end up sitting a few inches to a neighbouring party), as is very popular in modern Japanese-/Chinese restaurants, so it's actually a very authentic contemporary Asian restaurant setting. It's not a "cosy" setting for a date and a place you'd like to stay in for hours. The place has a big city buzz underlined with the benches, the open kitchen, big glass fronts and the waiters not being assigned to specific tables.
The food is served when it's ready, which means you can be unlucky that one has to wait longer than others. This has not really been the case when I've been there, but I see that others have had issues with this point. The waiters always point this out when you're seated.
The orders are written down on the paper place mats, which I always find curious and ingenious, since a new waiter easily can identify who ordered what.

Value for money is incredibly high, but cosiness is non-existing - but if you like good Japanese food almost "on the go", then it's a no brainer choice.

Recommended and would definitely go back.

“Good meal/food, but slightly "machine" service style”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

Like asian food, and the meal was good.
Located on the tivoli premises practically speaking.

The staff was not too service minded though, reflecting that this seemed as a factory restaurant, in, eat and then out.

All in all good alternative for us to get a good meal quickly, acceptable service.

“Very tasty and excellent service.”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

This restaurant was walking distance from my hotel and had a discount arrangement with patrons of the hotel. Seating was at a long table with others. The food was delicious and the prices reasonable for Copenhagen, which I found to be very expensive for food.

“Lunch at Tivoli”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

We chose Wagamama because our granddaughter is virtually a Vegan, and we thought we could get something to appeal to her. The food was fine for all of us and the wait staff very helpful. I don't think it's great food, but probably quite good for amusement park food.

“Fallen in love with Wagamama”
Reviewed July 18, 2013

We had a long layover at London Heathrow on our way to Copenhagen, and we tried out Wagamama at the airport and immediately fell in love with it.

We were so happy to find another Wagamama in Copenhagen. We were all craving for Oriental food after being on a Scandinavian cruise for 12 days. We went there twice during our 4-day trip in Copenhagen. We love the contemporary design, casual atmosphere, open kitchen, friendly staff, and of course the food! The seaweed salad, Wagamama Ramen, Chicken Ramen - they were all very tasty, and good portion size too. I love their freshly squeezed juices - unusual recipes that are very refreshing and nutritious. My husband likes the Ginger Beer they served in the Heathrow location. Too bad they didn't have the same one in Copenhagen.

We spent roughly DKK500 (over $90 Canadian) for dinner for 3 people. It's not overly expensive in Copenhagen standard. I would imagine they adjust their pricing at their Boston locations to suit the North American market.
