I've tried Wagamama in Amsterdam and Dublin, and Copenhagen twice. The experience has been quite similar and positive.
Wagamama serves delicious modern Japanese food in good portions and - especially for Copenhagen measures - to reasonable prices. You're benched on cafeteria-style benches and tables (so you could actually end up sitting a few inches to a neighbouring party), as is very popular in modern Japanese-/Chinese restaurants, so it's actually a very authentic contemporary Asian restaurant setting. It's not a "cosy" setting for a date and a place you'd like to stay in for hours. The place has a big city buzz underlined with the benches, the open kitchen, big glass fronts and the waiters not being assigned to specific tables.
The food is served when it's ready, which means you can be unlucky that one has to wait longer than others. This has not really been the case when I've been there, but I see that others have had issues with this point. The waiters always point this out when you're seated.
The orders are written down on the paper place mats, which I always find curious and ingenious, since a new waiter easily can identify who ordered what.
Value for money is incredibly high, but cosiness is non-existing - but if you like good Japanese food almost "on the go", then it's a no brainer choice.
Recommended and would definitely go back.
