We have been to many TOP gourmet restaurants and we have been talking about Kong Hans for years and then we finally decided! The welcome was warm, personal and friendly. But during the evening some things just did not live up to what you should expect from a place like this. The service during the dinner was a kind of snobbish/impersonal, the best staff was the "breadguy" if i may call him so, he was a new employee and so smiling and friendly, loved his personality, most of the other ones were just impersonal/snobbish attitude. Some of the courses did not taste very good and was a dissapointment. The red wine was way too cold which surprised us for a place like this. All in all a dissapointment since you pay A LOT of money for a evening here. We had been to Geranium a few months earlier and had a fantastic experience so we were expecting some of the same from Kong Hans, but left dissapointet!

Excellent service, superb food and a lovely restaurant with excellent staff.

We started in the lounge area and were served unusual but delicious snacks consisting of edible stones, quails eggs and ham and beetroot.

Moving to dinner we chose the a la carte option. I couldn't fault any of it. There was a small appetizer of cauliflower, for starter I had foie gras and my partner had lobster, all excellent. We both went for the tornedos rossini with foie gras for main, again excellent, followed by cheese of which there was a huge selection to choose from. Portion sizes were generous and the food simply stunning. The service from the staff was attentive but unobtrusive. The quality of the tableware also what you would expect from a michelin star restaurant. The restaurant itself is lovely, old stone arches and the tables well laid out so you weren't too close to other diners, but it still felt cosy. All tables had a good view of the whole restaurant.

This was one of the best meals i've had and we have tried a number of michelin star restaurants. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant.

Many people think Noma is the only place serving great food in Copenhagen, or Formel B. However, there are many more culinary secrets and Kong Hans kaelder (cellar) is one of them. We had the Innovation menu, which was great. The only thing about the first amuse was that we had difficulties distinguishing between the delicious fake stones and the real ones. Apart from that, a great evening in a antastic place. Good service (not intrusive at all which you find in high brow places) and very nice wines accompanying this culinary masterpiece.

This was my second visit to this basement situated restaurant in Copenhagen. This time is was a 'closed party' as we was attending a dinner after a christening.

The location for this family event was perfect. It worked really well from the champaign, present opening to the excellent dinner

The foods was really great and well tasting and just perfectly served.

I will definitely come back again or use it for private events in the future

I visited this restaurant for Valentines day 2013 with my wife and the experience was excellent
We had an early dinner but soon the restaurant which this day was decorated accordingly with red roses etc was quickly filled with romantic couples.
Expectations for this old danish institution of a restaurant were high but fully met.
Service was polite and present. The somelier was very competent and helpful in selecting excellent wines. The food was at high standard, plenty in volume and made to perfection
Only the extra snacks (compliment of the house) seemed to be trying (in terms of experimenting) a little too high
On their website they mention themselves that they aim to be ambitious without being snobbish - They accomplished this to perfection without ever loosing the feel of excelence !
A really goof experience at a high but fair price (value for money) and still a Danish institution worth a visit
