Description: Restaurant PUK is a classic and historic Danish restaurant in the very heart of Copenhagen. It is one of the oldest restaurants in Copenhagen with a history dating back to 1750. Here came the Danish King Christian VII along with his mistress in the late 19th century when they were in town together. You can enjoy all the traditional Danish courses crafted with a blend of respect for tradition and a pride in the art of cooking and the best products from Danish farmers.

“a taste of traditional Danish food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 8, 2014

The restaurant was crowded and we had to wait outside until the time of our reservation. Once inside, the atmosphere is warm and waiters very nice. Food was excellent and plenty.

“Very good”

We found this place after bypassing the cafesthat served mostly burgers and wraps. Our first meal of Danish cuisine. Very good. Would highly recommend.

“Relaxed Danish Meal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 1, 2014

My second time here, we ordered the two course dinner which consisted of small plates to share. Small beer selection.

“Excellent traditional Danish food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 26, 2014

A small restaurant so we were lucky to get a table - it was soon full. Went for the evening set menu which gives you a good variety of traditional dishes - three types of preserved fish to start, roast pork with picked vegetables, liver pâté and brie with grapes (not very Danish but nice nonetheless).

Can't fault the food or the advice given on how to eat it - the Danes are quite particular about what type of bread you should use for different foods, for example!

All the food was served quickly and the waiters were quite jovial - if you look at your phone you will be told off. And you'd better eat the crackling off your pork otherwise... you will be told off!

Probably the best and most reasonably priced meal I had in Demnark.

“Great service and Food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 17, 2014

We were looking for some traditional Danish food that was a full meal. We ended up getting fish and chips as well as the Christmas pork and it was delish! Would recommend if you are looking for a cozy atmosphere and great good (good service as well) and it was reasonably priced for Denmark also.
