Description: SALT bar & restaurant is a modern version of the splendid Parisian brasserie. A fascinating maritime expression has become characteristic for SALT's decor. The food at SALT is full of innovative and challenging flavors. It is modern Danish and created from a strong traditional foundation, where modern techniques are refining the confidence of habit. Classic, recognizable taste combinations combined with the temptations of contemporary interpretations represent what we define as modern classics.

“Great Dinner and Setting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 6, 2012

Salt, located in the warehouse-conversion Admiral Hotel on the water in Nyhavn, was a fine chance discovery for us. We had not made dinner plans for our first jet-lagged night and were glad to have found this place. The room is elegant and you can also sit outdoors along a pedestrian promenade harborside. The drinks were good, excellent wine suggestions, and an intriguing degustation menu in addition to a la carte choices. It is not inexpensive, but the quality of the ingredients and preparation makes it good value.

“Tasteless and dull”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 31, 2012

The food is not of poor quality, but it is tasteless and dull, not even the three types of salt on the tables can improve the flavour. You would not believe that the food is seasoned by trained chefs.

When you have a wonderful restaurant like SALT with a really great view, it is a disaster not to hire chefs that can actually make tasty food.

food and presentation terrific. Staff very attentive. Initially worried as in Admiral hotel but not like other hotel restaurants as it was high quality

“Salt Bar Waterfront Relaxation”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 24, 2012

The Salt Bar is right on the waterfront of the Hotel and there are Sailing ships moored along the wharf. The seating was very comfortable and the service was excellent. What a gorgeous place to eat and drink and pass the time away.

“Mediocre - ate in the bar side of restaurant”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2012

Food and service is mediocre. Most disappointing food experience of our trip. "Fried Potato's" were greasy and cold. Bar gets quite busy - makes it difficult to get service if you are waiting for your bill, coffee, etc.
