A very nice place next to the royal castle and therefore located in a very old building. The interior is the same, traditional as is the food on the menu. This may all sound somewhat boring but the combination of the premises, the interior, the good food and the smile of the waitress ensured a very nice business lunch.

Following a disappointing lunch at Sankt Annae, we were very happy with Restaurant Amalie. It is situated in a quiet location close to the Amalienborg Palace and has a few outside tables and a small intimate dining room, down a few stairs. We had plaice with shrimps and tenderloin of pork with mushroom sauce, both were delicious. The waitress recommended the Fur 'Steam' beer with the pork which was a perfect accompaniment. We then shared a chocolate cake with ice cream, which was also very good. The bill was about half that of Sankt Annae and the menu was clear and in English. The staff were friendly and helpful.

A very small but great restaurant close to the palace Amalienborg. We enjoyed the good service and the food was just delicious.

Turned away for lunch as a walk in so booked for the following day. Call and book. Delicious food, mostly foreigners dining. Husband had the smoked salmon and I had the fried pork with onions. Yum! Lovely friendly staff. Did not feel rushed to give up our table. Not cheap but nothing is in Copenhagen.

We found this restaurant while walking away from the touristy side a busy (and sunny) Saturday afternoon. The experience was lovely, and the food totally fantastic. I had the Porto marinated Herring, it was delicious.
