My girlfriend took me to Nimb for the Sunday Luxury Brunch for my birthday. The brunch is held upstairs in the big lounge, with fireplace crackling away and soothing tones from the piano player. Guests are seated in lounge style chairs around coffee tables, adding to the relaxing experience.
The staff were friendly and attentive, and explained the Nimb brunch concept. Diners are treated to a glass of champagne and oysters for first course, followed by a course of sliced fish and caviar coated in cauliflower and truffles, followed by fresh rolls and croissants with condiments, followed by a poached egg in hollandaise style sauce. In addition this, there was a full buffet assortment with fresh breads and rolls, charcuterie meats, danish sausages, smoothies, and desert buffet.
This is not a stuff-your-face buffet experience mingling with round people, the food, the service and the ambience is first class and most important of all, 100% relaxing and romantic.
While Nimb is not cheap (425DKK per head), this is Brunch at a fine dining level. When the time comes to splash out and treat ones self for brunch, you'd be hard pressed to beat Nimb.

We had a business dinner there with colleagues, food was delicious, but we had to wait for ages between two meals. I didn't even have the stamina to wait for the desert, although it would have been very nice.

Ordered soup, but they forgot the spoons. And the wine came after the soup was eaten. We ordered nice deermeat, which was really nice.

My husband and I had dinner at the brasserie and were sorely disappointed. The young waiter was friendly but completely incapable of managing our (very reasonable) needs. We asked for a glass of champagne and a gin and tonic as soon as we sat down. The champagne arrived immediately because the bottles were right behind our table but my husband's G&T arrived a good 15 minutes later at which point we asked for a bowl of almonds which arrived 25 minutes later at the same time as the soup entrée which was delivered without a spoon for which I had to wait another 10 minutes! (Needless to say, we cancelled the almonds but they showed up anyway on the bill). The monkfish was overcooked and the fennel underneath was hard as a rock. So much for the food and the service....the table itself in the glass veranda had a lovely view of the Christmas lights in the Tivoli park. We took a stroll in the park afterwards and were relieved that we hadn't booked at the hotel whose Moorish façade was beyond kitsch, especially during the holidays.

Nimb has got a wonderful location in the center of the Copenhagen. We came for drinks after enjoying the collections of the Glyptoteke and completely relaxed in its cozy and stylish atmosphere. The restaurant is a part of the boutique hotel with the same name, and its doors are opening directly into the Christmas fairy tale of the Tivoli gardens. Very nice place for a relaxing evening.
