I've heard lots of nice reviews about Nimb, so I was really looking forward to visiting it, when we've been invited there by our business counterparts. Indeed, the food was nice, but no more than that - there's at least a dozen places in Copenhagen surpassing it by a wide margin. But service was the low point - not really friendly and seriously unattentive (wet wipes and plates for empty langoustine shells were brought only for 2 out of 6 of us). Not worth the visit, given the price level

We were trying to decide where to go for our 30th anniversary since we were going to be in Copenhagen on the day. After much consideration be chose Brasserie Nimb and couldn't have been happier with the choice. Service was outstanding, they even saved one indoor table and one outdoor table so we could have our choice when we arrived. The food was excellent and though not cheap, very reasonable for a nice meal in Copenhagen. We each had a starter, entree and shared a bottle of wine and it came to about $160 US. Beautiful decor and excellent view. Although you have to pay an entrance fee to Tivoli it was worth it to see the gardens.

We enjoyed our last night in Copenhagen at the Nimb Brasserie. On arrival we got confused as to where to enter the restaurant as nearly all the pictures show the view from inside the Tivoli Gardens (which was closed during our stay). The entrance is on a busy road opposite Copenhagen Central Station - not the most glamorous but once inside it's modern, stylish and welcoming. All the staff are professional, friendly and attentive. We enjoyed a good chat with the bartender about her time living and working in London.

Most of the french classics are on the menu, pâté, goats cheese salad, pan fried sole, confit of duck, steak, creme brûlée etc. All cooked well and beautifully presented. Portions are more fine dining size than ones I've had in France. We skipped desert and opted for petit fours instead. These were so good that our waitress was kind enough to nip back into the kitchen and fetch two different small treats. A nice gesture.

Prices are high but considering that Copenhagen is expensive anyway and that this is considered to be the city's top hotel, it's well worth it.

We came here based on the good reviews. We arrived without reservation at 7:30 PM one night. We were told the restaurant was full even though we could see a lot of open seats. They told us it’d be one hour wait for a table. They were nice about it. We didn’t want to wait, so we made reservation for the next day to come back.

The restaurant is in the Nib Hotel across from the central train station and facing the Tivoli Gardens. You can enter the restaurant from either the hotel front entrance or Tivoli Gardens. The hotel is very modern and elegant, same for the restaurant. Service was good. Dinner portion was small. We ended up ordering 3 main courses for 2 people. We also had desserts, and the dessert was also small portion. Food was delicious, and we ate all the food. Price was reasonable for such a nice restaurant.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal at Nimb, located just outside the entrace of Tivoli (on the central station side entrace to the Gardens). We had planned to end our evening viewing Tivoli under the lights to see the light show that runs each night near 10PM, so we dined here first. The atmosphere was wonderful, the food (we chose the longostinos) was excellent, and the service top knotch.

Highly recommended as a way to combine a nice evening meal with ease of access to Tivoli at night.
