We dropped by between visiting Christiansborg Slot and the National Museum on a Sunday. Cafe Katz is handily located near to both and it was perfect for a bit of refuelling before the next culture shot. The food is unpretentious hot sandwich and salad style. I had a New Yorker hot pastrami on pumpkin seed bread and a cold beer. It was well done, large, and hit the spot. My wife had Frittata with a side salad which included crispy bacon. There is virtually no meal which cannot be improved by the addition of bacon, so top marks. We went back 2 days later, and this time I ate the house club sandwich - similarly vast, tasty and good value. I really liked Cafe Katz. It was informal, cosy in the Danish Hygge tradition, friendly, and the food was just right for a couple of hungry tourists. Service was quick and efficient. Definitely worth a visit. Recommended.
