A friend and I were in Copenhagen for the first time and were dying to try some authentic Danish dishes. After a day of walking and no breakfast, we stumbled upon Cafe Katz, right off the main strip with museums. The service was quick and the meals were delicious. Can't remember exactly what I ordered (pardon my rookie Danish) but it consisted of a sort of beefy meatloaf and a platter of fruits/veggies. We also got the table right by the window to look out onto the streets of 'Kobenhavn' as we ate!

Small cozy restaurant off the main street but easy enough to get to. The food was delicious, freshly made with a beautiful presentation. My favorite restaurant in Denmark to date. My two teenage children agreed with me and ate everything on their plates.

I ate here with my girlfriend to enjoy the good weather outside. you can sit both inside or outside depending on the weather. my girlfriend got a nice ceasar salad and got the beef burger that came with some new nice roasted potatoes, which was excellent.

the food was reasonable priced as we paid 270 DKK in total with drinks.

I would definitely come again.

I have to write a review for this cafe located not far, from where I live.
It's a tourist trap!

Let me make a short statement. Stay away and spend your money elsewhere unless you only need a glass of water or a soda, which they cannot ruin. This is one of the worst and most overpriced café's in copenhagen city center.

The food is average but some of it also disgusting. Do not buy the Surf and Turf.
The most expensive dish and it is not authentic. It's a curry dish. With 3 shrimps and some very weird looking meat......(they call it beef). Not worth eating at all !.

Burgers are ok, but still extremely overpriced. The Bacon Burger......price more than a 100 kr. They will serve it with one piece of cold bacon. No french fries/potatoes, no mayo, no ketchup......nothing. I have never been at a café where they charge you so much for so little.

The chef in the place seems to be completely in love with carrots. All dishes are full of this in strange decorations.

100 meters from the café, there is a small street called "Kompagnistræde". Here you will find lot's of café's with better and more choices.
