Arrived at he place for a Saturday night dinner for 2.
Got seated by the door, and when asked to move, the server was short of patience and far from accommodating. That table shouldn't even exist in that location by the door.
There was far from enough room for coats, and they were all piled on a table by the entrance and on backs of peoples chairs.
There's a HUGE garish red colored bar right out of the 90's, and horrible paintings on the wall not to mention the silver curtains...
The wine list was OVERLY priced, and all the choices should have been 20% cheaper, at least.

The 2 other servers were friendly and engaging, and the food wasn't half bad, pity everything else is.

Here's what happened. A friend checked with the restaurant to see if they had room for about 10 of us for dinner at around 6:30pm. They said no problem. They sat us at a nice table -- the restaurant location is right on the water and very nice. Two extra friends turned up but the waitress insisted that they could not add extra seats to the table although there was plenty of room -- so those two went elsewhere. The waitress came to take our drinks order. Three of us were ordering a red wine and she suggested we get a bottle. They did not provide a wine list but we said sure. Others ordered beer. The drinks were served. The waitress meanwhile brought menus and allowed us time to decide what we wanted. But we were then told that only two items were available, a cheese burger and a ribeye steak. The reason given: the restaurant was fully booked for that evening and the chef was not able to produce the entire menu. No appetizers were available, just the two main dishes. Since two of us were vegetarians we negotiated for a third dish, and they suggested a veggie burger. Someone indicated that they understood this to mean just some lettuce and tomato and no real burger; so I explicitly asked the waitress if the veggie burger included a burger composed of vegetable material and was told yes it was a veggie burger. When it came it turned out to be raw vegetables in a bun. So I asked where was the veggie burger and was told that was it; that's what they called a veggie burger. Apparently they didn't have a clue about what a veggie burger is. I sent it back and settled for french fries that one of my friends didn't want. The guy next to me had the ribeye but said it wasn't very good. I paid for the wine. 495 DKK -- = about $86. Perhaps that was the true cost, I don't know. It seemed a bit out of line with the kind of food being served. In any case, from the start and throughout, the waitress seemed entirely resentful that we were there at all. Not at all friendly. Also, when we left -- around 8pm -- the place was still half empty, so not only do they not know what a veggie burger is (a bun with lettuce, tomato, and a raw carrot, for example, is not a veggie burger), but they don't seem to know what 'fully booked' means.

Three courses for less than you could expect for a casual dinner in Melbourne. I am not understanding the reviews that say this place is expensive.
We had the best venison I have ever encountered and other challenging food cooked exceptionally well. The guinea fowl was priceless. Why order burgers here?
We had one of each of the 4 deserts on the menu. All were remarkable. Perhaps most so was the beer ice cream. A rich buttery flavour.
Everything presented with local embellishments in a creative and interesting way.
Full marks to the chef.
A great wine list and again well priced.
Full of local folk enjoying Saturday evening and the great welcome and service from a charming waitress who managed the floor alone.
Small, cosy, great outlook, food and service.

Good place to sit and see the life on the Copenhagen canal,
nice ambiance inside and outside, but prices! Paid DKK 1.000 for two persons, just one course each and a bottle of wine!

We walked from Tivoli hotel to Aristo! We were told by the winter that their burgers are the bet in Copenhagen! We all ordered the burger except for my 17 year old who ordered the steak! Food was delicious although quite expensive! The burger cost around 30$ (cheapest item on menu) and the steak 40$. An enjoyable meal but I wouldn't rate it as best burger ever!
