One day I had a serious craving for a good old Danish hotdog. Having passed one hotdog stand after another not being able to shop because it’s cash only, I camed by YamYam at the central station in Copenhagen.
I sort of assumed they didn’t do hotdogs, but then I saw they had the Steff Houlberg logo all over the place. In my book, that’s a promise!
I still had my doubts though. As it turned out rightly so!
Not all, but most traditional hotdog stands take pride in serving a good hotdog. The two pricy hotdogs I was served at YamYam had nothing to do with pride. The sausages were thin and had been on the grill for too long and the whole thing was a mess.
It would not be fair of me to submit this review as a full review of YamYam, as I have not tried their Asian food, but if you are out for hotdogs, stay far away from this place, even if it says Steff Houldberg on door.
Bring cash and go to a hotdog stand instead. There is one right outside the central towards Tivoli, I’m pretty sure it’s a Steff Houlberg.
