Description: Welcome to Llama Restaurante & Bar Latinoamericano in Copenhagen. Llama is among the first restaurants in the region to draw on the flavors of the Latin American continent. Inspired by Peru, Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador, Chile, and, moving a bit to the north, Mexico, the menu features ceviches, anticuchos, Uruguayan-style meats, tacos, and a list of South American spirits. But Llama is without question rooted in the Nordic region and aims to thoughtfully and sensibly marry the South American inspiration with Scandinavian products and recipes.

My v varied adult family of 4 found this restaurant amongst the best food we enjoyed in a 3 week Scandinavian holiday. Try the avocado based pudding. Really! Not cheap, but this is Copenhagen.

In the search for a perfect Ceviche, Llama was suppose to demonstrate the ability to do such an signature dish form Bolivia. But the failed to deliver. The cucumbers were not even fresh.
Wine list was decent, albeit not vast. The lamb was really well coocked, and the entres were above average in terms of presentation and taste. Had cow hearts, piementa de padron for entres.
For Danish prices, this restaurant is in the middle of the pack. For a new dining experience, it would be great to try, however, if you have tried a real bolivian ceviche before, you will be significantly disappointed.

It's hard to find a fault with Llama in Copenhagen. Nice atmosphere with a slightly hidden feel off the street and very cool bar (where I had dessert). The food was wonderful, the fish ceviche amazing, followed by excellent pork collar, and fried banana with soft meringues finished everything off on a high note. Service was attentive all night, and drinks were so good I'd go back just to have one. A must visit if you're in Copenhagen

The Llama restaurant is a dark and atmospheric place. From the moment we walked through the door my family of two adults, two children were superbly looked after by the staff. It's a small menu but the choice is still difficult with such a wide variety on offer. The children settled for a snack (taco) and a starter (squid with a pepper and lime dressing). The two adults went for a starter (lobster with a tomato salsa and macadamia nuts) and a main course ( a beef steak with a bean purée and a lamb breast, poblano chilli and dried tuna). All of the food was good but there were a couple of glaring omissions - the starters had lots of sauce, but they 'don't serve bread' which was a real shame as there's only so much you can scoop up with a fork! And the main courses were lacking in any carbohydrate or vegetable! The lobster dish was very heavily spiced, very tasty, but the lobster being so delicate disappeared as a flavour.
There was a very good but pricey wine list. We opted for a very drinkable Bonarda at DKK350 and some alcohol free cocktails for the children at DKK55. Watch out for the water - unlike the UK where they ask you if you want another bottle, here it keeps on coming at DKK25 a go! And when you do get the bill the foreign card charge and any tip on top of the food and drink does make the cost quite high. But it must be kept in perspective - this food was so much better than the average fare we ate in a tourist spot on Kultorvet square the night before for just a little less. It's well worth a visit for both the food, the decor and the atmosphere.

Really well cocked and delicious food and at £20 for steak not overly pricy - did however slightly miss a vegetable on my plate.
Would recommend ordering starter for anyone who are just slightly hungry.

The staff was very friendly and service quick and flawless. The menu may not suit children, unless they are quite adventurous. The staff did try to accommodate our 8 year old and "discounted" his meal.
