“An otherwise good stay spoiled by cleanliness issues”
Reviewed August 13, 2013

First the good stuff- Adina was a good fit for us a family of 5 with three young kids. Kitchen and laundry facilities helped, as did convenient supermarket around the corner. The area is peaceful and although not in the city centre there is a direct bus that runs very near Adina. The apartment we got was quite spacious.

Now the big problem. Overall the apartment looked clean but from the moment we stepped in my husband started sneezing- he is allergic to dust mites and obviously the place is teeming with them. The daily cleaning seems to be quite superficial- in one of the bathrooms the sink and the shower took forever to drain out as the drains were full of hair. And the carpets were definitely on the musty side. Again this would not have been such a big issue if none of us had allergies. The other problem is the proximity of te train station- to offset the allergic reaction we had to leave windows open which meant we could hear the trains all night.

Breakfast is good, the restaurant also serves other meals but is shut on Sundays. Other than an Italian restaurant across the road there are no other eating options in the neighborhood.

This is an excellent apartment hotel . Although not ' close ' to downtown the city is realtively small and so can easily be reached. There is also a great grocery store on the corner to stock the room with its stove, fridge, microwave and pots and pans . Excellent

We stayed in this hotel in the beginning of July. Very nice clean hotel, nice helpful staff and very nice (small) pool. I missed the bathrobe for the pool like they have at the Adina Hotel in Berlin. I also was not impressed with the breakfast and I was very annoyed by the fact that I had to pay (a lot) for the parking of the car. I think that parking should be included in this not so very cheap hotel!
The hotel is a little out of the center but has a good bus service.

Room Tip: bring your own bathrobe if you like to use the pool!

The hotel is part of a building of apartments, most of which are permanent residents. The hotel building and apartment building share walls and roof, but have separate entrances and courtyards. However, all interior courtyard room balconies face each other and overlook both courtyards.
Our twin suite on the 4th floor was quiet, cool, clean and comfortable.
Jo, the morning manager, was SO very helpful each and every time we had a question.
Free WiFi is in the lobby only. There is a charge for WiFi in the room. Somewhat inconvenient, but not terribly.
The location is on the outskirts, but within easy walking distance to the Little Mermaid park which is a "Hop on Hop off" tour bus stop.
If I were to return to Copenhagen, I would probably stay closer to the center of town.

Room Tip: Be aware that the only way to print out tour vouchers, boarding passes, etc. Is to email them to the...

We were taking a cruise out of Copenhagen but wanted to be there a day early just in case there were any delays. We chose to stay at the Adina, arriving at the airport at 6A we went by taxi directly to the Adina - of course the rooms weren't ready but we only waited a short time and they not only gave us rooms but upgraded us to a one bedroom apartment each! The rooms have everything you can think of and there is a restaurant in the hotel which serves a buffet breakfast that is quite tasty. A short cab ride the next day and we were at the pier for our cruise! I would highly recommend staying here!

Nice clean large rooms, good location (less than half an hour walking along water to the center), very friendly staff, nice pool. So: good option in Copenhagen for a relatively decent price if you don't mind a walk.

One minus: it's 2013, wifi is available for free almost anywhere, but the Adina hotel charges for wifi-use in the room. Tip to the hotel: change this tomorrow, it's just not customer friendly anymore these days.

Tip: parking on the street is free from 17:00 - 8:00 and Sundays. This can save quite a bit (garage is 200 NOK/ 25 euros a day)
