“Sleek, modern hotel”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 26, 2011

We were unable to get an early check in as the hotel was full, but our superior twin (separate beds as I was 7 months pregnant) had been upgraded to one with a terrace overlooking the waterfront which was a lovely touch by the staff.

The rooms were designed to be a haven of peace with cool Scandic decor & functionality. Unfortunately ours had a connecting door which was so thin that we literally could hear the rustle of plastic carrier bags from the next door room. To be fair, when we asked at reception if we could change room & it was explained we couldn't because the hotel was full, they helpfully called the next door room and asked if their yound daughter could stop playing her noisy computer games - which she did within 5 minutes. It did mean we were on tenterhooks a bit for the rest of the stay to ensure that we weren't making any noise whatsoever, which possibly did not make it as relaxing a stay as it might have been.

Room Tip: Check upfront that you won't have a room with a connecting door!

The hotel is very modern, new and clean.
We were 3 people in a basic room (with an extra bed) and it was abit too small for us. For a couple the size of the room would be enough.
The hotel is a walking distance (15 min by foot) from Tivoli and the center. It is located next to a shopping mall where one can find a large supermarket and many places for dining, and the prices are cheaper than in the center.
The breakfast was very good.
I would reccommend this hotel to other travelers.

This hotel is very modern with a nice design.
The room was small but with a wonderful wiew to the canal and the city.
Services was excellent and food was delicious.
I can only recommend this hotel for couples or bussines trips.
For families the rooms are too small I think.

Room Tip: Ask for a canal wiew.

We stayed here one night precruise. It is a new building all steel and glass, facing waterfront.the location was not as bad as some of the other travellers mentioned. It is a 20 min walk to the city centre and as we were tired on our way back so we took a boat.right next to the hotel was a mall with many eateries. the superior room we had was tiny but the room was very clean as was the rest of the hotel.the air conditioning was just about ok.The waterfront view was great. The staff was warm, but no one helped with the luggage.it was expensive but so was every thing else in copenhagen.

Highly recommended. Minimalist stylish design. Comfortable bed. Spotless bathroom, as if it had never been used. Generous good quality buffet breakfast. Fantastic location with water views and a nice wide boardwalk into the centre along the waterfront. For Copenhagen, always expensive, this is a good value hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for water view.

The Hotel is well situated it is a 10 € taxiride to the Tivoli (or a 15 min walk) and can be reached quite good by Taxi from the airport (30 €) The staff is friendly in a professional way (do not try to get a smile from the barkeepers if you are late in the bar though) and it offers good views on the water and a nice architecture in the reception area. Rooms are spotless and clean well kept in a design style of furnishing and the bathrooms comtain all necessary things (important for me, shower is two meters high).

So for a business stay in Copenhagen or a weekend stay it will do just fine though the rooms are nothing spectacular. As a matter of fact as in most scandinavian hotels they are a bit on the small side. But beware what kind of room you get. First avoid those to the street since it is one of the main entrance streets into Copenhagen and even though the rooms are well insulated you will most likely notice it. Do avoid rooms that are next to the delivery doors to the hotel though. The first deliveries will be made at 6 am and are ironwheel on cobblestones. On the other hand though, if you do have get up at this time anyway, it saves you the trouble of taking care of your alarm clock.
