As a regular customer at opera's it was a great pleasure for me to have the opportunity to go to see a opera in the Copenhagen Opera House. Me and my friends chose to see Othello. The opera building itself is a beuatiful piece of architecture, with the magnificent roof covering the buildings front and sides, making it rain resistant in the whole area. The location is also great, from the front one can have a beautiful view of CPH skyline.
Inside the foyer is nice, lot's of polished wood, and glass. On the upper floor there are 3 big lamps symbolizing the flag of Christiania. Those lamps are set in beutiful lampshades, that deserve to be looked at from standing exactly under them - the game of lights is amazing.
But the most beautiful part is the main hall with the main scene. Dark blue seats, and amazing wood panels with sunk in dimmed lights. All looks increadibly stunning, like you would find yourself in a different - magical - world.
The place is definitely recommendable for any architecture fans, as well as opera fans :)
