Just returned from a conference in Copenhagen, my travel plans fell apart last minute and there was almost no lodging available in the whole city, or at least not for under $400 a night! I lucked onto the hostelbookers website and found Hotel Copenhagen. It had a room available and was only a short walk from my conference and a nearby metro station, and a reasonable walk from city center. I was able to book a single room with a very confortable double bed (by paying a 2 person fee). Linens and towels were provided. The booking process was easy, the people friendly once I arrived. It is a hostel- bath facilities are shared. However, a friend ended up at a local hotel and payed more for a fold out bed and a shower that belonged in a motorhome or sailboat. Sinks are in the rooms. It is in a relatively quiet area that is undergoing much renovation and building for new facilities and residences associated with a local university. There is even a bakery around the corner. The only downside is that the stairways smell of smoke, and the single computer available is often busy with people booking the next leg of their trip. Entry to the room was with a key card and there was floor entry by code or key card as well so it was very safe. I would stay there again. Overall Copenhagen can be an expensive city, there are some very large hostels and lower price hotels available, this one was nice, small and friendly, a great alternative.

- Small rooms.
- Not a private toilet/shower.
- Door was open TWICE after whe came back... Where are sure whe closed it right (whe checked if the door was closed after that first time.) Luckilly nothing was stolen.
+ Great location! (Near a public swimming pool, close the the center.)
+ Free internet.
+ Cheap.

Not bad for people with a small budget (you really shouldn't go to Copenhagen then ;)) like students. Shared showers, shared toilets. Both are in same place

completely false advertising on hotel website that we booked from. The room for 4 was approx 1.5m by 2m. Photo of rooms on website nothing like the actual room we were given. Bathroom and toilet were mouldy and foul. Stay away!!!!
