“Something for everyone”
Reviewed January 19, 2014

This classy mostly indoor market is a place where mostly locals go to buy top class produce. Meat, Fish, cheese, chocolate and everything else is there. You can buy some nice foody gifts but there is no tat here. We just had a look round and sampled then stopped at one of the vendors on stools and had a nice meat/cheese platter with some really unusual choices. Washed down with beer and elderflower cider. If you are interested in food then this is a place to visit.

“A must-see while in Copenhagen if you love food”
Reviewed January 19, 2014

Come hungry, and bring plenty of cash. Lots of homemade specialties, organic options, and creative treats. Great for lunch or for finding special Danish goodies to bring home with you.

“Best Place for Meat, Cheese and Lunch”
Reviewed January 10, 2014

Stop here to pick up some meat and cheese, bread, spreads, and pastries for lunch! An incredible array of choices and top quality.

It would be a delight to have a place like this down the street at home...

“Great Food Market to Experience Danish Cuisine!”
Reviewed December 25, 2013

I was a student studying in Denmark this past fall and loved Torvehallerne! I had several friends who would visit Copenhagen and I always took them there to experience some of my favorite Danish snacks for a reasonable price. They have a great stand inside that has a whole selection of open faced sandwiches on rye bread that are fantastic. You can also buy individual Danish meatballs too (a must try while in Denmark). The pastries are fantastic, and would recommend one that looks like a pop tart (can't remember the Danish name for it) it's absolutely delicious and very popular in Denmark.

Would highly recommend this little market for a quick lunch stop. They also have wifi, which is very helpful for guests visiting from different countries. Everyone speaks English too!

“Great place to spend time”
Reviewed December 16, 2013 via mobile

We were in Copenhagen only a few days but we visited Torvehallerne several times. We also ate there a few times. Both times (pizza at Gorm's and pasta at Bottega della Pasta) were rewarding. Excellent food! Only downside in visiting Torvehallerne was, that you couldn't buy all you wanted.
