While small the museum is delightful. The display is very interesting and innovative and informative. Great location park in front is beautiful. Nice store as well.

Having been to the Jewish Museum in Berlin I really was expecting more. Many have commented on the architecture but it really seemed like a poor imitation of the one in Berlin. It certainly does not pack the same emotional impact. In fact it seemed devoid of impact of the building. The artifacts are somewhat interesting but a story does not seem to be told by the exhibits. The films at the beginning are of interest, especially as they present a history of Danish Jewry. Staff were friendly and the location is very serene but if you are expecting an experience similar to the one in Berlin you will be disappointed.

Small but interesting museum documenting the Jewish community in Denmark since the 1600s. It is located right behind the gardens of the Christiansborg Palace and takes approximately 30 - 60 minutes. As the only European nation to actively protect its Jewish population during WWII, the museum celebrates the humanity and community of the Danish people. The museum fee is also covered by the Copenhagen card which I highly recommend.

It may be small but is packed with interest as well as architectural design. 2013 entrance cost just DKR 50 per adult (free for Under 18's) or free as part of the Copenhagen Card "package". Highlight of a visit of 21 August was the free guided tour at 2pm in excellent English by the lovely Sarah. You need to hunt around the website to find details of the twice weekly free guided tours in English but well worth it. Easy to find thanks to the big sign outside. Good little shop, too.
