Owner description: For once, it's the tourists who get it right – locals almost never experience Copenhagen in this way, and they're missing out on a treat, experiencing the old city centre from a different perspective and seeing almost all the downtown attractions from the water. Canal Tours Copenhagen offer four different tours of the city, ranging from 60-75 minutes in duration, both with or without a guide. They leave from Gammel Strand and Nyhavn, with longer ones taking you as far as the Little Mermaid and out into the Oeresund Channel to the tiny fortress island of Trekroner. On Sunday and Thursday evenings during summer months there's even a 90-minute jazz cruise, with live music aboard the boat.Armed with a strong fleet of 16 comfortable boats, six of which are heated and covered, the Canal Tours takes you through a guided journey along the city s harbor and canal. At least one of the multilingual staff members is always onboard, enlightening guests on the picturesque surroundings. Choose from the various tours available. And for something unusual, go for the Dinner Cruise, where you can enjoy a delectable meal as you cruise along the waters. And if you have charted your own itinerary, then just go ahead and rent one of our boats.

“Don't miss this”
Reviewed August 9, 2013

We enjoyed perfect weather in June for this beautiful tour of Copenhagen by open canal boat. Many famous sites can be seen from the boat including the new opera house and yes, the little you know who. The Royal yacht was in port (wow) and you can even get a sense of the history of the city this way. Highly recommended.

“Relaxing and informative”
Reviewed August 9, 2013

We did this initially because we were tired but wanted to get the most out of our Copenhagen Card. The tour, however, turned out to be a really nice experience. It's an hour long with a live tour guide who can speak three languages. We got a lot of great information, but they also knew when to shut up and just let the sites do the talking, we covered a lot of ground and got some excellent photo ops, too. This is worth it even if you have to pay, but you'd be nuts to miss it if you have a Copenhagen card!

“Best mode to see the best of Copenhagen!”
Reviewed August 6, 2013

The canal tour is also one of the best mode to see the important attractions of Copenhagen, especially when you have limited time to spend in the city.
The staff of Canal Tour was fantastic and explains every bit of history / information one should know about each attraction in the city.

“excellent and easy”
Reviewed August 6, 2013

I recommend this boat tour. It's a great and easy way to learn more about Copenhagen. The guide's live comments are detailed. He does this in english / danish / german depending on the nationalities present on the boat.
It is also a great opportunity to see some of the city's splendid architecture and more remote city parts.
It's impressive how the pilot squeezes the boat through extremely narrow and low bridges.
Just relax, sit back and enjoy the 1h tour.

“Copenhagen from the sea”
Reviewed August 6, 2013

The tour lasts a little more than an hour. You see a lot of the sights on this tour and if you're a first-timer in Copenhagen you might also get ideas of where you want to go later on. A tip is to do the trip early on your visit.

Our guide was ok, speaking both Danish and she also spoke English very well.

If one hour on sea is enough for you, I'd recommend the other boatcompany where you only pay 40 DKK, this one is 75 DKK. Unfortunately we didn't see it until the boat had left the harbour, since this company has got the best docking place and is able to take a higher price. I would say that you still get what you expect, though.

To sum up

+
Nice views

-
Pricing, there is a cheaper company next door in the docks
