“Aurora was an amazing guide!”

The Copenhagen Free Walking Tours is definitely a must. The tour guides are incredibly knowledgable, funny, and engaging. The tour was not too long, not too short. We hit all the good spots and learned about the stories behind them. Wouldn't mind doing an extended version either - yes they were that great!

“Igor is the best!”
Reviewed July 9, 2013

Great tour with a great tour guide. As a graduate school student on a budget, I really appreciated having the free walking tours in Copenhagen, Zurich, and Prague during my travels because I could pay what I could afford to pay rather than going on tours that charge exorbitant fees. Our guide, Igor, was really passionate about everything he talked about on the tour, so that made the experience even more fun.

“Great first thing to do in Copenhagen!”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

This was the first thing we did upon arriving in Copenhagen. Our tour guide, Igor, was very friendly and enthusiastic about Copenhagen, and his English was excellent. He knew a lot about the history of Copenhagen, as well as area attractions (and had a few restaurant recommendations when we asked him at the end of the tour.)

We covered A LOT of ground on the tour and it was a great orientation to the city. The tour was advertised as being 3 hours and actually ended up being 3.5 hours because of all the information Igor had to share with us (probably the longest free tour we've been on of the half-dozen we've done in various cities.) He did stop for a brief bathroom and snack break in the middle of the tour, which was a good opportunity to grab one of the much-talked about hotdogs from a local stand.

Definitely worth the time and deserving of a generous tip, in my opinion.

“The On and Off Bus”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

We toured Copenhagen using one of the "on and off" buses available at various locations and walking about. I must say we absolutely fell in love with Copenhagen! The City has a unique vibe and what might be termed a "Goldilocks" city- not too old, not too new, not too large, but not too small, relaxed, but vibrant- just right. The people are great and very helpful. Good palaces to see, good churches to visit, a great (and inexpensive) canal tour is also available. GREAT food- definitely do a Danish Smorgishbord. Good shopping in may areas and oh, that Danish modern design! Cabs are reasonable and the cabbies are honest. Traffic is a big problem in Copenhagen, so reserve plenty of time if going by care or using a bus. Also food prices are very high- a decent restaurant can easily ending up costing $100 a plate or more for dinner, including a 19% VAT. When you see Copenhagen, your soul will smile, and perhaps understand why the Danes don't complain, even though they are the most heavily taxed people on Earth.

“Copenhagen walking tour, July 2013”

Charesse was informed and enthusiastic. She not only gave a good, entertaining commentary at our stops along the tour but was able to answer questions without hesitation and with a historical perspective. Highly reommended.
