Description: OSTERIA DEL GRAPPOLO BLU The Osteria is an authentic Italian eatery where you can either enjoy a quick homemade pasta, or go onboard in the big menu or choose a la carte. This is the place to enjoy great food and drink good wines from the Osteria's competent wine list. Head Chef & Owner, Alfredo Franco comes from the small village Pietrastornina located just outside Naples. The menu is clearly inspired by local Southern Italian dishes. Alfredo buys fresh fish, meat and vegetables every morning. Pasta we make in the house, like every day we bake bread, make ice cream and other desserts. Osteria del Grappolo Blu is located next door to Ristorante Il Grappolo Blu, and it's the same owners and same kitchen behind the two restaurants. Osteria del Grappolo Blu is more like as a visit to the house of "mamma" or rather a visit to the house of Alfredo and his wife May-Britt. BENVENUTI May-Britt & Alfredo

Went here for celebration of birthday. Staff is very kind and informative of both food and wines. We werre offered another table because of small children, but refused to move. There should always be space and room for the youngest generations too - even when they are sometimes angry. We had antepasta menu and then Ravioli and the maincourse was well prepared lamb. And to go with that we chose a fantastic Brunello red wine. A wonderful birthdaydinner

Ended up here as a result of a local recommendation and wasn't disappointed.
Excellent service and food to match.
The slow cooked Italian rustic course of a brisket beef was extremely tender and finishing up with a chocolate fondant completed an excellent meal.
Highly recommended.

I simply cannot recommend this restaurant enough, a diamond in the rough. The facade don't do it justice, as this is quite simply amazing. Third time here, attending a wine makers dinner. Top dollar worth, amazing food, the most ridiculous steak in a four course meal. Absolutely amazing, already booked the Antinori WineMakers Dinner.

We visited L'Osteria with a group of women in Copenhagen on business and I can honestly say it was one of the best meals I had in Europe. The antipasta platter was fabulous and Mae, the owner of the restaurant along with her husband, Alfredo, gave us fabulous service. They can even tailor your meal to your expense account if you give them some notice! They pride themselves on service and quality ingredients. Great experience!!

It was the last night before flying out of Copenhagen. It was raining and we had to pack. We decided to go to Osteria as it was next to our hotel. Prices looked very good. We entered. The Osteria tables are not on top of one another and allow lots for room and quiet. The colors in the room were deep and rich. The feel was more of an expensive restaurant. We were warmly greeted by May-Brit, Wife of the Chef. She was very pleasant and made us feel very welcome. We had mentioned that we had traveled in Italy and enjoyed good Italian food. She spent time describing the menu and the history of the restaurant. She was relaxed and made us relaxed. We had eaten Italian in Scandinavia. Usually there is the 1st plat and as they tell us much too small for a complete meal. One has to order another dish. We ordered the risotto, the Guanciale, and the salmon. I am from NY, USA and have only heard of Guanciale. They said that it was cooked for many hours. I wanted to taste this. May-Brit say that the risotto will have to take 30 minutes as Alfredo the cook likes to cook it from scratch. Risotto, we have had in Italy and only once it was sensational. The second time in the same restaurant in Italy it was not so good. I felt that the chef had rushed it. We asked for some wine. May-Brit offered a tasting. It was wonderful and reasonably priced, 85. I have to say that it was all worth it.
One thing that I have to say is, proportions are very generous. I saw another table ordered the steak and it was enormous for 185. Our risotto could have been ordered as a meal as it was very large at 145. My Guanciale was generous and wonderful. My thought is to find this in NYC and try to make it. Our salmon dish was ok, but then this is not Italian. We saw children enjoying themselves and eating wonderful Italian pasta dishes. May-Brit and her staff welcome children. She herself is a mother of 4. The waiter staff were very attentive. Osteria was a family affair, we felt included and we also enjoyed meeting their eldest daughter who is I think 13 working to clear the table for the next guest. Highly recommended, food , decor, everything. Also it is not far from the city center.
