Stayed here for three nights (Captain room).

Arrived by train from Copenhagen airport direct into the central station and its just a few minutes walk to the hotel, very easy to find. Hotel location is excellent, a couple of minutes walk to Tivoli & NY Carlsburg Glyptotek Museum.

Hotel check in efficient. Room was small (double bed pushed into a corner of the room), Bathroom was a 'pod' with a shower in the middle which left the bathroom floor completely wet. The bed was hard / very hard. I normally prefer a hard mattress but this was a little to firm even for me. Room was very clean and in good condition, might have been recently re-furbished?.

The downside was no curtains, only roller blinds, which never quite fit to the full window and let light in. This might not have been a problem for most rooms in the hotel, but I was located just below the big illuminated Hotel sign, so the room never got dark enough to sleep comfortably. (I really should have asked to change rooms after the first night, but tiredness must have stopped me thinking logically!?).

The hotel bar is a little boring, order drinks from the hotel reception, and no alcoholic drinks served after midnight.

Breakfast was ok, served until 10.00am, which was a little too early for me, perhaps I should have spent less time drinking the night before and more time waking up early?
Breakfast content was a bit limited for choice, but reasonable value in an expensive city. On Sunday morning, however, consider not paying extra for the hotel breakfast and going to the NY Carlsburg Glyptotek museum. Free entry into the museum on Sundays and the cafe offers a good quality breakfast selection brought to your table in a very nice setting for just a little bit more than that at the hotel, but arrive before 11.00 because there was a bit of a wait after this time.

Recommended ? Yes, if you value a clean, well located hotel above luxury and don't want to pay lots for it (just try and avoid the rooms ending in 09 & 10, with the vertical illuminated sign outside). If i could have done that then it would have been a 4 star rating rather than a 3 star from me.

This hotel is inexpensive, very clean, quiet, nicely decorated and well situated. The room are small but you have everything you need. The breakfast is super delicious. I would definately stay again. Very close to the main train station.

Don't expect top quality accommodation here because the rooms are small. However if you only use your room as a base to sleep in whilst you check out the beautiful city of Copenhagen then this place is ideal. It's clean and the staff are pleasant. It's very close (2 minutes) from Tivoli Park and a 10 minute walk away from the start of the main shopping and attractions area. Breakfast was very basic so we ate out in the town centre. 12 people on our trip all agreed it was a good choice.

The reviews are correct - rooms are small, it isn't luxurious, there are bunk beds, the bathroom is small - but turn this around and look at the positives great location (take the rear exit from Central station as a short cut), the price is great, rooms are very clean, beds are very comfortable, breakfast is fast and efficient and the price is great.

We stayed as 4 guys using 2 rooms for the weekend. Couldn't have really been any happier with the hotel. We just needed a central place to rest, sleep and have some breakfast. The hotel is well run and if we return to Copenhagen (which we would love to) we would definitely stay there.
