This has to be some of the best food I've ever eaten. Very imaginative and clever combinations of really fresh and tasty ingredients. You can taste the individual flavours and also the complimentary taste of the combination. And I'm not even a vegetarian, I do eat meat, so this is not a 'good for veggie' type review, it's excellent food, forget about the meat being there or not. It is not cheap, but there is a lot of work and care that has gone into each dish, so it is well worth it. Also very friendly and helpful staff.

“Delicious and interesting vegan kitchen.”

Very interesting and tasty dishes! The interior is a bit boring, but also cosy in way. The service was polite and friendly.

“Sweet and easy”
Reviewed October 1, 2013 via mobile

This is far and away the best vegetarian restaurant in Copenhagen. It is actually that one step up the ratings by being vegan. If this feels like a step too far then just suck it up and give it a whirl. The food is delicate, amazingly tasty and beautifully presented. Well worth a Michelin star! The service on my last visit was very professional, though a tad slow. Nothing to get upset about, we had a wonderful meal. The beer was from a local brewery and the wines were an excellent selection.

“Fresh and excellent plating”
Reviewed September 25, 2013

Food there is as fresh as it can be. Plating is stunning but the flavor is just missing something. In my humble opinion there is just too little variation with spices. Still give it a try if you will be around. It is located just opposite to huge market where you can pick whatever you like starting with bread, cheese, veggies, etc. Great blend - the only thing that can keep you away is the price. If the restaurant will not keep you satisfied scroll down to the market - true rival.

“Lovely food but expensive”
Reviewed September 13, 2013 via mobile

I ate at firefly garden twice during a recent trip to Copenhagen with my daughter. The food was delicious - we had 3 courses each time including the melon soup and roasted celeriac, ravioli, white chocolate mousse, and gnocchi
Everything tasted delicious and was just enough to fill us up although someone with a bigger appetite may have wished for more. The restaurant has stylish decor and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. My only negative was being charged for tap water! Having spent around 100 pounds on a meal for two I was rather taken aback to have been charged around 4 pounds for tap water!

Dear Jenny
We are very happy that you had a good time and enjoyed your meal with us. We love the praise and we will pass it on to all our team members. However, to address the charge for our water, waiter should have told you that we actually filter and vitalise the water through our Grander water vitalising system. This changes the molecular structure of the water molecules and give the water a special soft texture. I don't know if you think this justifies the price, but at least now you have an explanation.
We hope you come back soon!
