“Great location, great breakfast buffet”
Reviewed March 18, 2012

The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring most of Copenhagen by foot. The first experience when entering the lobby is positive: a very spacious lobby and very friendly and fast checkin. The rooms was functional, clean, bright, and inviting. There were two issues: although clean, the hotel appeared a bit run down as damages weren't fixed (paint coming off the ceiling a some small spot, curtain of the wardrobe ripped off, wooden tiles in the edges of the room missing). And second could you hear everything going on in the room left/right, above and below (below was the gymn with exceptionally loud music from early in the morning until late at night). Good thing I was really tired. I really liked the breakfast buffet: above average in style, choice, and quality.

Clean and spacious room with sleek Scandinavian furniture. Loved that we were able to get free wifi access throughout the hotel. The hotel is within walking distance to town and the train station. The staff were warm and friendly, plus we arrived early and was pleasantly surprised that we were given an early check-in.

The highlight was the cod with morels. Truly outstanding dish. The restaurant is elegant, has a great breakfast buffet but a very limited dinner menu.
The staff was always helpful and attentive. Kudos to Svetlana who knew very well how to expedite a few issues I had with my bill. If only other hotels would have staff with such common sense!
The corridors look outdated for the type of lobby, and the TV box is really a bizarre surprise. Beds are nice, nice to find a tub but the shower could be better.
Good are to stay in, fair rates.

Room Tip: ask for upgrades. Some rooms have nice and ample private terraces

Reservations: made by a business colleague
Check-in: fast efficient friendly and effortless as the front desk personnel speak impeccable English. Even gave me early check-in after an overnight filght.
Room: large, well appointed, with a comfortable bed and nice furniture. Reasonably quiet although not the quietest hotel room I have been in lately.
Bath-room: large and well appointed with both a shower and a bath. Very nice towels and bath products.
Internet/Wi-Fi: free and reasonably fast, but my first room had a very poor signal so I had to change rooms.
Breakfast: wonderful breakfast buffet included with every room, with a wide variety of delicious and healthy breakfast items, ranging from fresh fruit to eggs, bacon, sausages, cheeses, breads, and beverages.
Gym: there is a health club on the street level that is very large and well-equipped. No pool.
Location: excellent in mid-town Copenhagen. Close to the subway, and across the street from the University of Copenhagen Law School. Lots of shops and restaurants in easy walking distance.
Check-out: accurate, friendly, and efficient.

Room Tip: Ask the front desk for a quiet room on an upper floor.

I have tried a couple of different places in Copenhagen and this is the best of the bunch. Nice, clean rooms with great beds and cool Scandinavian design. Breakfast is great and my tip is to chip innthe extra funds for the pancakes with maple syrup. Location is awesome and staff friendly.

The reception by the staff was great, the lobby large and airy (but be careful as a DJ sets up there a couple of times a month and the noise travels through much of the hotel). The bar was friendly, the breakfasts fantastic BUT I had dinner in the only restaurant. The banquette seating is uncomfortable (the seating dividers don't line up with the tables so ended up sitting on a strip of wood for the whole meal). The evening service was appalling. It took nearly two hours to get a steak, chips & beer ordered & served. They weren't that busy either, the only two staff spent much of the time chatting at the restaurant reception whilst diners tapped their watches and tutted for service. Like many places the waiting staff were oblivious to other guests raising a hand for something as they passed by the tables.

The room was clean with neat little light boxes as bedside tables but the old CRT TV could almost be considered an antique these days. It was difficult to control the room temperature too with the curtains covering over the radiator.

Room Tip: Don't choose one overlooking the lobby or adjacent in case the DJ fires up incessant music until...

Because of my job I have to travel a lot and live in hotels. This is one of the worst 5 star hotels I've been to.
The only good thing of the hotel is its location near the center, bars and rstaurants.the rest is really poor for an allegedly 5 star hotael.
Rooms smell bad, bathroms are often not clean and you can see insect crawling out the sewage, the tv and tv channels are preety bad, the restaurant staff is amateur and has only 3 dishes in the manu but cahrges like El Bulli (350 kr for a dish) but the service is pathetic.
But o yeah, the hotel is trendy do you can ignore the downfalls!
The problem is though that the competitors are not very good either. In general hotals in cop are bad bad bad!
