The location i the best.
We had our firs visit when it opened, and have stayed 2-3 times a year ever since.
The hotel is still great, but it has begun to show some wear and tear. The chair in our room f.example was quite worn. That is easy to replace...
Otherwise, great service, great location and still a fine hotel :-)

Loved my room, which was large and cosy, after I upgraded. Which I strongly encourage you do! The elevators are small and in constant use, so there are times when it's better to walk down the stairs then wait for one to be free. Great breakfast although it always smelt of eggs which seemed to hung in the air and to be permanently embedded into the tables. The hotel is straight across from Walkers St - well know shopping street and, only a few minutes from Tivoli Park.
Could do with a lower rate for the price of the rooms, as the normal sized rooms are far too small even for one and I suspect it would be so especially for a couple.

Room Tip: Get an upgrade as rooms are too small for the average sized room they have on offer.

The rooms were quite tidy and modernly furnished.
Unfortunately, it didn't look great from outside and did not have a strong culture/character inside. In other words, not recommended for a stay, unless you only want to sleep here; luckily, we were in the hotel only for sleep and the rest of the days and nights, we enjoyed the City and its great restaurants, bars and sites ...

We spent three nights in the hotel during last summer (2 adults, 2 children). The cleanliness of the room was not as good as we expected. Floors were actually very dirty and dusty and we had to separately ask for new towels because cleaning was not automatically done every day. We paid around 1550 DKK per night for this room and for that price the room should be clean. I saw once cleaners working in the room and got the feeling that they had a way too much work to do with the time they were given. There should be more staff to do the cleaning in the rooms. Also the size of the room was a little bit too small for our family. Beds were softest that I have ever experienced anywhere.

Breakfast was fine. Service in the lobby was quite ok. Location was great, it was easy to walk from the hotel to the Tivoli and Stroget. Double doors of the elevator were sometimes a little bit tricky to use when you have baby trolley and no other person to open the door for you.

If we come back to Copenhagen sometimes, we will choose another hotel. It is although interesting to read totally opposite opinions regarding the room cleanliness in other reviews... Could there be so much variation in cleaning quality?

The Square is ideally located. Walk everywhere from this hotel! The rooms are small-ish, but the upgrade is worth it. The showers are ridiculous half-door contraptions, with water spilling all over the bathroom. Elevators are the size of refrigerators. Clean; great beds; accommodating staff.

Room Tip: Stay away from anything that faces the main street, especially on a Friday night when the college kids are out and howling! Choose a room on the upper floors.
