“Worth the walk up, V enjoyable”
Reviewed September 13, 2013

Loved the spiralling staircase up near the summit. very beautiful during twilight hours
Quite narrow walk up, wooden stairs, and cob web filled large bells (that are not accessible)

“Great to walk up the spire on the outside, must have a head for heights, especially when the stairs narrow.”
Reviewed September 13, 2013

Great views of Copenhagen as the spire steps are on the outside which makes this quite unique and gives you a 360 degree view of the city. You have to be reasonably fit, 400 steps, and have a head for heights!

“Great view from the top!”
Reviewed September 12, 2013

Not sure if it was worth the climb though. It was quite a tiring and uncomfortable walk/climb through narrow and steep steps (inside the church). But the spiral staircase on the tower was a lot more enjoyable and the view was great! It gets crowded at time and you may have to stand very close to the edge, so only go if you aren't scared of height as you wouldn't be able to enjoy the view as much. Also, the church itself shuts much earlier than the tower so visit early if you want to see the church.

“A stunning view when you get to the top!”
Reviewed September 11, 2013

We climbed the Vor Frelsers Kirke tower on Monday morning - it was a fantastic experience - you need a lot of energy and you must not suffer from vertigo. The first part of the climb is the most difficult - and can be noisy as the bells ring! but when you get outside the stairs are quite shallow and there is a good handrail and I felt quite safe. The views at the top are breathtaking - 360 degrees of Copenhagen. The inside of the church is lovely, and I thought the area was rather nice. We had fab cake and coffee at a table outside a local cafe by the canal.
