“Not for the faint-hearted!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2013

The climb to the top of the church is quite strenuous but well worth it. Do not do it if you are afraid of heights though. The view of the city is amazing. The church is beautiful inside. It's a great combination with a walk through Christiania.

“Dizzy heights”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2013

Climbing round the outside of the spire to the top was a challenge but well worth it for the view. It was very tight on the stairs and for some would this could be a problem if they have to keep stopping for breath.

“Exquisite”

Great architecture and art, yet it maintains its spirituality. It celebrates a god of majesty, not a humble messiah, but its setting is nevertheless still beautiful.

“Not to be missed! ”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 4, 2013 via mobile

Very nice church, a bit simple but that makes it all the nicer. Definitely don't miss the walk up the tower! You pay 35kr and there are 400 steps, but the view is amazing, definitely worth it. There's no platform at the very top, just steps, and it gets a bit crowded. Since even now there were already a fair few people there I can imagine that in summer it could be very crowded and may not be so great, as it is we had to wait a bit walking up/down because the staircase is very narrow, but it was still a really enjoyable experience.

“You either love the steps or hate them!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 25, 2013

If you hate heights then this is not for you. I tried to summon some courage and go up. The stairs are narrow with lots of people coming down and going up and no room for both directions. Once out on the main part for the view again it's narrow and it's also the queue to take the stairs to the top of the spiral steeple. The views are lovely but it was too small and some of the wooden planks creaked which sent me into a panic. Irrational I know but when it came to the spiral staircase I lost the plot and headed down.

So, briliant if you like this sort of thing, terrible idea to go up if you don't!

THowever, the inside of the church is beautiful, airy and spacious. It costs about £4'ish for adults and about £2 for children.
