“Great way to mix with the locals.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 30, 2013

Our family of 5 spent a Sunday afternoon at this zoo. We struck a good balance that day- Visit Carlsberg brewery museum in the morning and then it was an easy walk over to the zoo for the afternoon. This provided something for everyone. The zoo has a wide variety of animals especially all the big ones that kids love to see. The polar bear exhibit was the best of them all because you walk through a tunnel and if you are lucky you can see it swimming above you. The zoo is small enough to be seen in a few hours. The food is very expensive and not very good. It wasn't feasible for us to prepare and bring along a picnic, but all the locals were pulling around wagons full of coolers and baskets. Not the most amazing zoo, but a nice one. The kids were happy and that is what counts! (The kids still say their favorite zoo is the one in Rotterdam, The Netherlands).

“Good”

I think the polar bear is the most important to see because not many zoos have one.
The rest of the animals are ok, and its beautiful

“The best zoo ever seen”

We liked everything. Really high quality zoo with big variety of animals. You get everything you could expect from the zoo. Food and drinks are very expensive as everywhere in Copenhagen. Admission seems affordable, when you have cOPENhagen CARD and use it enough.

“Not just for the kids.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 27, 2013

Having read up that this was a 3 hour attraction we arrived at 1pm and were still looking around as the closing time of 6pm was approaching.
There is a wide variety of animals and the park itself is bigger than you would expect so it's good to take your time. It gives a rare chance to see a Polar Bear in captivity. There are also a lot of baby animals as of writing this review (including lion cubs, tiger cubs, an elephant calf, baby anteater and others) which is a great sight.
The food is priced okay seeing how this is an attraction. This could do with adult only times since there was a good deal of waiting at the Polar Bear viewing tunnel due to the sheet number of pushchairs making it impassible for a good few minutes.

Take your time and look for the feeding times, otherwise a lot of sleeping animals. The price was OK, we paied 150 Danish kroner p.p. Food at reasonably prices.
